I'm more of a red wine guy (I can recommend Grange Hermitage or Heinscke Hill Of Grace).

On the beer front my current favourite Oz beer is BlueTongue.

Haha! I'm sitting in front of a cupboard and that's one of my wife's many art projects - she decided to turn a normal looking baby doll into something more gothic. Pretty cool :)

Evil - I just hit your homepage (very nicely laid out btw). You and the partner really have a ton of talent between the two of you. The sound clips were a little rough on the recording quality side but the skill and creativity comes thru loud and clear. And your wife's pic of the Warwick in your lap (tounges back in mouths guys, she's fully dressed) is really thought provoking. She needs to put it in an 8x10 glossy, sign it and send it to Warwick to use in their ads, or maybe sell a poster size copy to a local guitar store. Please post it if you get a chance!
This site needs and annual photo contest! With a bass to the winner. I bet someone on here has a bass they'd donate for the prize, I think I have a couple. What say ya, moderators, can we make it happen?

Great idea on the contest, my nomination would be Dan Atkinson, but the winner definitely won't be a photo of me! :-)

I just visited the Evil homepage as well ... nice. (Didn't listen to the music yet, though, as I'm in the office.) Now, I did notice this and as someone who plays a Jazz (among other things) I'd like to ask what's going on with it. Did you refinish it to look like this? I don't care much for metal but I like this bass!:hyper::bassist:

Thank you again Sir :) you're very kind. I do like the photos - my partner really is talented (not only in photography but arts and crafts in general - she's an accomplished oil painter, and also designs and makes clothes and handbags)

As for the music - this might sound strange but I cringe at those tracks as they are a bit rubbish, but at the same time I am proud of them. I'd only been playing bass for about 6 months at the time, and I'm self taught with no theory knowledge really (apart from two lessons). I played all of the guitar and bass tracks.

You really think Warwick would use that photo in an advert? I wish... that would be the most amazing thing ever.

Yep, I refinished that, and the Encore guitar on there. Quite proud :) I'm glad you like it!

All I have to say is wow. I go on vacation for a week sans computer (and sans bass) and I come back to see that this little thread has jumped off the cliff and now reeks of awesomeness!

Deej, You are beautiful and gutsy. As I am a person of size, I appreciate that you love you the way you are, and rock it out! I am still trying to convince myself to play with other people and your here just saying "here I am, like it or STFU!" Sam, you a a bright talented and beautiful woman, and if you get with the right band, you will have a serious career. You have the chops. Evil, Those shots belong in a gallery, and I am jealous of your skill and the diamond plate!

Funny how a thread of expression by Deej has turned into a freedom of expression meets fetish meets defending your fellow bassist thread. I think Sam had it right where she said (pp) that there is something special about this group of people with so much in common despite so many differences. Like Neal Peart's lyrics say in Entre Nous "The differences in between leave room for you and I to grow" Well done everyone, as this thread is full of win!

PS: How the heck does Phalex's corn keep showing up everywhere?
