Chuck Rainey...just jaw dropping

A lot of my favourites have been mentioned here. Anything Chuck Rainey does is bound to make me prick up my ears. He and James Jamerson have been my favourites since the '70s. I had to learn some of his lines for a soul band I was in back then. It was the start of my life as a bass player having changed over from guitar. It was a steep learning curve but man I learned so much listening to those wonderful players.

If you're ever going to subscribe and support a channel, Rick's work is fabulous, the interviews are all music, not the idiotic usual rock press crap.

These giants were frequent collaborators, and these two are the rhythm section under Aretha's, 'Until You Come Back to Me', one of my all time fave grooves, with Aretha herself on piano to boot !



ABSOLUTE proof that giants walked the Earth.
