Cincy/SW Ohio Fall 2013 GTG

If I can go, I'll bring my pigtronix bass pedals, Pelosi bass, modifies '74 Ripper, and Warwick Katana 5nt.
I'm down for whatever. I have my Reverend Decision, my sweet, cheap fretless, a recently completed walnut P bass and my orange TB500 and OBC115.

I'm thinking load in at 10:30-11AM or so, chit chat for an hour or so, get some grub and commence with the gear presentations. Id like to wind it up at about 4PM or so I can do the out to dinner Saturday night thing.
But, heres the deal. So far I have received a grand total of 4 responses. When I cooked this idea up in my head I figured the tipping point would be about 25 folks. As I posted initially;
NOTE: Ive read through this and other GTG threads and seen how gung ho everyone is in the planning stages - and also how a sizable percentage of the cheerleaders bail at the last minute. I know, I know, sh*t happens. People-family members fall ill, cars crap out, etc., and well in life excrement happens.
PM me with email contact info if you are truly interested in participating, if I dont get enough interest Ill just go with the original plan of just having the distributor send me stuff to try out during the week rather than extend it into a Saturday bass fest.
So it's no skin off my nose if it doesnt happen, but I would be a bit perturbed if I have enough food and drinks for 35-40 people show up without the 35-40 people to consume same showing up as well.
Y'know what I mean?
So far I have received a grand total of 4 RSVP responses. Not only is the refreshments thing a potential issue, but I also need to set up a power distro to be sure I have adequate juice available for 20, 30, or however many rigs show up, and make provisions with the warehouse manager to get the attendees gear in while our 24/7 warehouse is moving trucks in and out of loading docks.
I think we will be pretty quiet because as I found out in last weeks staff meeting the weekend of 9/28 is heavily booked with away games and most of our big rigs will be out between Thu and Tue of the following week.
Im looking for solid confirmation, including means of direct contact other than a PM on talkbass so that I have a way to follow-up other than just hoping the person(s) are on TB at that particular moment.
Im not trying to be a jerk, but if I cant get a reasonable amount of confirmations by mid month Ill have to pull the plug before I flush too much cash and time down the loo

As I posted yesterday Im looking for solid confirmation of attendance, including means of direct contact other than a PM on talkbass so that I have a way to follow-up other than just hoping the person(s) are on TB at that particular moment.
Something more committal than "if I get up Saturday morning I might stop by for a while if the mood strikes me and I can't think of anything else to do".
As I have posted from the beginning, it makes no difference to me if there is any interest in folks coming here for a GTG, but if I have to commit my time and resources to hosting such an event, I want as much as possible to avoid the inordinately high last minute drop out rate that seems to be the norm for recent Cincy GTG's.
As I also said in life "things" happen; people/kids/relatives get sick, vehicles break down, etc., and an ironclad commitment for something as casual as a TB GTG would be a ridiculous expectation.
However I would like to have a good idea of how many attendees I can expect for planning purposes, and as mentioned history has exhibited an inordinately high rate of last minute change of hearts, at least in the more recent Cincinnati area GTG threads that I perused prior to deciding to offer our facility and resources to this event.
The first couple of Cincinnati area GTG's had great turnouts, and were great fun for all; lots of people, lots of rigs, lots of idea sharing, but maybe my intentions of returning to that type of atmosphere were a bit far reaching, maybe the recent habit of trying to throw together a GTG every other months diluted the enthusiasm, who knows?
Maybe my jumping in was a bad idea...
I suppose time will tell!

If anyone has a preference, let me know.

I'm up to 6.
At some point I'll probably need a tally of exactly what rigs are coming. I want to have designated spaces with ample power at each one.
Basses won't be an issue provided their owners have stands or something... Although I have probably 30' of slotted board for retail wall hangers, AND probably several dozen guitar/bass wall hangers themselves.
We might be able to make a bass display area of sorts.
I think part of the problem is that maybe people just don't have any new stuff to show. Like me, I've been selling stuff off rather than getting anything new. People have seen what I have already.
Perhaps we need to do a bigger outreach than just this forum? Get the word out on FB? I plan to be near my gear most of the time, so I'm not worried about any non-Tbers being there...
If the consensus is to go this direction, I'll be happy to help set that up, spread the word among bands I know.
