I like AC/DC and still get a kick out of Angus doing his thing on stage, and thanks to this thread I'm listening to Stiff Upper Lip in its entirety!

A truly great and unsung album.I like AC/DC and still get a kick out of Angus doing his thing on stage, and thanks to this thread I'm listening to Stiff Upper Lip in its entirety!
Yep...that's why they played to huge arena/stadium crowds and made serious coin on this last tour. If that's a joke, then it appears Angus got the last laugh.lol ACDC is a living joke...

How's Keith Richards not in this? They should just be done with it a hire Ozzy, Mick Mars, Charlie Watts, and Phil Lesh call themselves The Walking Dead.
Seriously, go home and take a nap guys.![]()
How's Keith Richards not in this?
Live, soloed bass tracks often sound like dogmeat (Cough! Steve Harris! Cough!). Not Cliff's.
I honestly don't hear it that way. Of course, Angus and Mal are the stars of the band and bass is always support, but I thought Cliff got pretty good mixes for the most part. Why is he so often buried in the mix?
Piss. Now who's gonna play the same open note for the duration of the songs???
Especially on Squealer!I honestly don't hear it that way. Of course, Angus and Mal are the stars of the band and bass is always support, but I thought Cliff got pretty good mixes for the most part.

Why should these bands who haven't had a hit since their big heydays 20 or 30 years ago be forced to pack it in? They can still make very good money and people still go to the shows and have a good time, so why should they stop? Because some musician on the internet resents it? I guarantee you that every single one of you would do the same thing if given the opportunity, even those complaining about it. It's not as if everyone moves up the musical food chain a notch when a famous band retires. If you're a bar hack now, you're not going to graduate to arenas because AC/DC retired.
Thanks never knew this. One of my favs from those guys.Squealer is a great bass line but that wasn't Cliff, he hadn't joined the band yet. That was Mark Evans.
