Cliff Williams leaving

Why should these bands who haven't had a hit since their big heydays 20 or 30 years ago be forced to pack it in? They can still make very good money and people still go to the shows and have a good time, so why should they stop? Because some musician on the internet resents it? I guarantee you that every single one of you would do the same thing if given the opportunity, even those complaining about it. It's not as if everyone moves up the musical food chain a notch when a famous band retires. If you're a bar hack now, you're not going to graduate to arenas because AC/DC retired.

If they can still sell out arenas then power to 'em. My personal feeling is every band has a best-before date and I don't like to see them past that date, especially when there are only one or two original members that still tour with them. Lots of people aren't bothered by that but I am.

I applaud Cliff in this, as it is not my decision or the decision of TB to whether or not he should continue playing. I've always love the very subdued style he played in AC/DC (as that's what my mother raised me on, I know I know, she raised me right). Congrats to him living out the rest of his life without the stress of multi-continent touring!!
