So im bout 7 pages late but here is my AC Entry!
I had two but i sold the LM5. It was GORGEOUS but it always lost in the shootout when I compared them in the studio. Maybe im a converted 70's to 60's guy now. I ALWAYS chose my LG5. I found a great home for it tho and after hearing Yohann...I think i might be an ASH/RW guy myself. I like my 77 Jazz's tone a bit more. But the feel and playability of the LM5 is UNDENIABLE! Im sure another AC will come up! I have been trying to get the twin of my LG5 in a Pbass. I played her and she was AMAZING! But I dont think Maro would ever sell it!

Was the body done in nitro? That is pretty much the exact spec LG5 I want to move towards, DN board, bent plate, nitro and matching head stock...

This is one that may NEVER leave the pack..I've never really felt that way about any of my basses. Except my 77P...above being a player and having great tone. My wedding party was all my musician buddies. We all had our instruments for our pics out on the beach front. I want my kids to see those pics and see that bass hanging up in "Dads" music room..so I suppose it's more sentimental.

now im on the hunt for an LG or maybe an LM ASH/RW-DB CAOJ 4 but it wont be for while. Birthday is next month. Maybe i can get lucky like some of our fellow TB'ers..haha but i wont be holding my breath! LOL

Beautiful bass. If I was ordering an LG new, that would be the color combination and finish with the matching headstock. That is probably the most beautiful A-C I've seen. Congrats on that one!!!!! Man, vintage bridge, nitro, Brazilian board... that is the bomb if one is looking for that early/mid 60's sort of spec. Simply perfect!!!!
I've got an LG5 just done in Poly with a honduran board. I may sell it and order one with more traditional specs though..

I'm really not diggin' the wider bodies on the new AC's. What was Jimmy's reason for doing this? Horrible, IMO.
I believe to make the 'body to neck proportion' on the 5 strings similar to the 4 strings. Doesn't really bother me either way. I believe he made the body a bit thinner to offset for the slightly wider body at the 'tummy tuck' area.
I believe the NAMM LM's were still prototypes, so not sure if the 'final spec' will look like the trans wine pictured above.

Yeah it doesnt bother me either.... It sort of works.. and even with the wider body my new one should come in at about 8.75 - 9 pounds...
My sadowsky has a smaller Dinky Body and most folks dont mind that change up from the traditional basses. .either way im OK just as long as it isnt to heavy for me.

I had the fortune of stopping by the Alleva Coppolo shop on Tuesday during my trip in L.A. First, I must say is that Jimmy and his lovely wife are two of the nicest people I had the pleasure of meeting.. Second, the basses are phenominal..
I checked out an LG, LM and RA.. The LG and RA are killer, but there was a bass there that was going to Paul Turner that was stunning.. It had a Honduras rosewood fretboard that I believe made the sound/tone just shine..All the reviews and opinions I heard on TalkBass were pretty much spot on.. I think Tom Bowlus said it best thats theres something special about these basses... Third, they sound fantastic passive and the preamp is perfect, it adds just the right amount of spice to an already perfect receipe..
