The UV70 is really really light I am guessing it's going to get really interesting when the LM5 arrives, it's about the same weight as my KBP5:eek: I may also switch over to single coils in the UV after I get the LM....

My ash/maple Sadowsky is the only 'non A-C' bass I still own (besides the Rob Allens'.. which are a completely different thing). I love the Sadowsky vibe also, especially that 'ash/maple/singles 60's position thing' which makes it quite different from the A-C's (which as you know are more vintage/traditional sounding.

Just FYI. I did this primarily to highlight the amazing little 115L+, but it is a pretty good example of the LG tone also IMO.

Is Jimmy down on Badass bridges lately? I haven't seen them on any recently produced basses, but I seem to remember them on some LM's in the past, particularly a really nice natural one that was at the winter '08 NAMM show.
In my experience a Badass can totally destroy the tone OR drastically improve a bass (my '65 P was crap with the stock bridge and putting a Badass on really made it sing). The result doesn't seem to be predictable in terms of the weight of a body or type of wood - it just seems to depend on how an individual instrument responds.

Pardon me if you guys have had this discussion before - I haven't been following the AC threads for very long.

He does however maintain a "doesn't sound good with alder" "sounds great with ash".

I did see that, but unfortunately, I don't have an LG5 to trade you (and I'm not in a position to buy it outright, at the moment). Plus, for whatever reason, I am not all that enamored of white basses (though I do like the matching headstock).
