They are very pricey but forum rules forbid pricing openly which I truly understand. E-mail Jimmy he will gladly give you a quote and all the info Including deposit info and build time which is lenghthy but well worth the wait.

+1 Just to give the OP a range, basically from about $3,400 to $6,000+ or so (the last time I checked anyway), depending on options. The basic LG and LM models (poly, standard boards) are absolutely wonderful, and in the typical price range for a high end J type bass. Similar to the FBass brand, options (nitro, matching painted headstock, blocks and binding, upgraded fretboards, fancy tops) are BRUTALLY expensive, but IMO are not necessary for a great A-C tone.

I just LOVE reading enthusiastic posts by happy owners of new basses.

I rediscovered my Alleva Coppolo "Heartbreaker" this week.

Its previous owner, Jason, is going to think I am crazy, but after trying out 4 or 5 different string types on her, I put Thomastic Infeld Jazz flats on her this week (strings I got for another bass but decided to try on this one), and WOW!

The strings seemed to have given the bass a mid bump that really makes the bass articulate and full... I just couldn't put her down.

Okay I've been playing it for an hour and can't put it down long enough to take pics. So far all I can say is that I'm blown away.

Okay I took a moment to take a few quick pics and give my first impressions. The first couple things I noticed are exactly what I liked about Ken's LM5 and what made me place an order - the neck is absolutely perfect. Nice and wide across the fretboard, and thin from front to back. Also the neck pocket is set so there is enough room to dig in if I need to, but the pickguard is still very close to the strings. I guess it's hard to explain why those two things are so important to me, but they REALLY make this bass perfect for me in terms of playability and that's why it's so hard to put down.

So I plugged it into my small rig (LMII into an LDS 112/coax cab) and whoa - it sounds exactly as I imagined - super aggressive 70's jazz with TONS of grind and punch. I'm LOVING the preamp. Feels great on a strap, very balanced. I weighed it on my digital bathroom scale and it comes in at 10.4 lbs.
