-3 tone burst /all NY/DN/all nitro/older body style/tinted neck . I got it back in late 2007.
I just posted above because Joel posted and I wondered if there would be any interest just casually ..and...wow...much interest for sure! I didnt expect that and would have waited to mention anything if I knew there was this kind of interest.
So like I wrote back to everyone I still have to decide after Jimmy sends some things up to me in the next few weeks. In the end I will have a few ACs that I'll have to move and one will be a Classic Supreme.
Here it is below the night I got it. Jimmy and I handpicked the woods in NY and the board is from the original old DN log in NY. Maybe the nicest burst I've owned.
Just take that stupid pickguard off...

Wow, Ken sold his LG5 to Joel. My LG5 has become my go to
bass and probably my favorite of all of the many basses I
have owned over the last 15 years or so. Time will tell.

Wow, stunning turn of events here! We've always known you're an LM guy Ken but I thought the LG was there to stay also.
I can't wait for my LG to be finished... It should be done mid-year but I'm thinking of holding off til my birthday in November so I can have the date engraved. Hmmmm.

That is the bass that messed me up and made me order one the next day I tried it, very special one I think

Joel is going to be happy. Loved the concept of owning the LG, but literally never gigged it. Sale was driven by a number of things:
- Never gigged it... ever (except for a few times very early on when I purchased it). The LM totally has had me covered for years now. I thought it would be 'fun' to own a 60's style J, and it was. Never really made much sense though, given my tone goals, etc.
- Recently bought a Nordy P, which fills the 'older school' hole for me much better than a 60's style J.
- We are moving, and I will no longer be doing all those fly in gigs (I will be close enough to drive now), making it unecessary to have a bass and rig in a remote location. So, thinning the herd.
Amazing bass though, and I think my friend Joel is going to dig it. If you want a 60's style J, it is hard to beat the LG!
I now am down to one Sadowsky, one Nordy, and one A-C.... that should do it

Ya Bro, I was thinking about you the other day... We need to hang again soon. Maybe you can drive up for the SoCal GTG on April 23??? Or I always love going down to SD! I went to Pendleton for paintball a couple weeks ago.
