That is the bass that messed me up and made me order one the next day I tried it, very special one I think:bassist:
I remember trying to get Mitch to sell it to me:rollno::rollno:

Hey Caner, I remember that! I wish I had a chance to a/b with yours before you left. ( btw got your message I'll be out until tomorrow)

Even though we PM'd congrats again to Joel with his "new" LG.

I remember that bass.. You dont want to sell that one.. Beauty!

Hey Kirk, not sure quite yet if its going up but its the Classic Supreme below.

-3 tone burst /all NY/DN/all nitro/older body style/tinted neck . I got it back in late 2007.

I just posted above because Joel posted and I wondered if there would be any interest just casually ..and...wow...much interest for sure! I didnt expect that and would have waited to mention anything if I knew there was this kind of interest.

So like I wrote back to everyone I still have to decide after Jimmy sends some things up to me in the next few weeks. In the end I will have a few ACs that I'll have to move and one will be a Classic Supreme.

Here it is below the night I got it. Jimmy and I handpicked the woods in NY and the board is from the original old DN log in NY. Maybe the nicest burst I've owned.

I'm sure I've mentioned it, how could I not... But then again I'm all over sometimes, you know that.

Ya Bro, I was thinking about you the other day... We need to hang again soon. Maybe you can drive up for the SoCal GTG on April 23??? Or I always love going down to SD! I went to Pendleton for paintball a couple weeks ago.

When and where is this So Cal GTG? I don't have an AC but I have a brand new NYC Sadowsky...

Guys ill be in Cali April 14-18. Any chance of having the GTG on that weekend. I believe im free all day saturday. Im bringing my LG5, considering bringing the KBP4 if this goes down while im in town.

Just a crazy thought! Haha
No Pressure.. Lol If not....fellas.... Enjoy the hang for me!

Hey Mike,
I think the GTG is pretty set but that doesn't mean we all can't get together for a small one... Get in touch when the date gets closer... I'm sure Miko and Ed are down.

Oh I see when, but where?

The GTG will be in Garden Grove... Not too close to you but it'll be worth the drive I promise... Here's the link to the thread: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f158/so-cal-bass-hang-part-3-a-756956/

Jimmy's done crowning my frets so LG5 Classic #74 is on her way back home! Even though he is super busy building even cooler ACs and preparing to speak at Stanford (wow), he worked my bass in so I could get it back in time for some performances. As always, he was a class act to deal with and I remain a huge advocate of him and his products. THANKS JIMMY! Good luck at Stanford!

My new LG showed up today (courtesy of Ken Jung!)

I need to take some photos and get it posted but, even after only an hour or so of playing time, I can pretty safely say that is sure doesn't suck! :D

It's an unbelievable fun bass to play. Rolling back the neck pickup a hair and backing the tone off 25% equals instant vintage J bliss. Punchy, staccato bridge pickup heaven -- Really fun stuff. I can't wait to gig her!

More to come...

Thanks Ken!

Yes congrats are in order :hyper:
(to JOEL C above this posting--on taking delivery of the Seafoam Green LG 5)

Hey what's up with that ?
My LG5 does the same thing with the neck pickup backed off and the tone turned about a 1/4 down.

Pure vintage 60's Jazz Bass punch !!
I couldn't agree more. :bassist:

It is amazing how the LG5 is pure Fender 60's vibe and the
LM5 is pure 70's vibe....awesome.

As a matter of interest I had just done a recording ( many various styles actually ). There were 11 tunes and I did 8 on the LG5 and 3 only on the LM.

IMHO I find that the LG is a better all around studio player and the LM really hits the ball out of the park..LIVE..having more bite/definition and clarity than the LG in a live situation.

It is a blessing to have BOTH.

Jimmy's got it going on :)
