New Candy Apple OJ LG5 in the house!!:bassist:

Thanks Jonno!

Tomorrow I'll get some photos of it. I plan on spending some quality time with it -- and putting it up against my Surf Green LG. Should be fun... :D One of them may end up as trade bait for an LM5 Deluxe...

Wow - they are both really good. I may just keep them both. I've got to get the CAOJ out to a gig.

I have a wedding gig next weekend and will give it a good workout.

It is the first dinky sized LG 5.

And you know what, I'm not sure if there will be another one exactly like it since that one took quite a bit of labor to shape as so... And your former Sonic Blue one as well.

By the way, I played the Ava Maria KBP5 again last night and it just keeps blowing me away... The neck is just super and I actually really dig it's sound with the DR coated neon strings!

Have a great tour Kirk!

Yohan thank you. When I get back I am going to call Jimmy about the Ava Maria it's 7:30pm here right now and killing time before they come get us. But the dinky lg5 sounds great though the system we have today and yesterday. Our Sound man is Bonnie Raitts sound guy and he has me up loud in the house. The bass sounds very good from what they say. Great job on sanding my neck too, it's perfect!

Used my white LG5 on my gig in Basel Switzerland last night. Sounded great. Folks here are gear heads and I spent some time after the show talking shop with some fans. They loved this creation from Jimmy. It is the first dinky sized LG 5.

Must be nice to be able to get cool stuff that nobody else can get. :rollno:

I would imagine a dinky J body would be VERY popular for folks who would want something with an ash body, to help reduce weight a little and maybe even be more comfy for smaller people to play. I love the slightly undersized J's I've played.

Oh c'mon Vic, it ain't like that although Kirk IS a pretty special guy :)... I'm sure one can get close to the shape of Kirk's, but as you know no 2 basses are exactly alike... Even the CNC'd ones once they get sanded and stuff... I'm not sure what "dinky" shape Jimmy programmed into the machine. It could very well be a standard 4-string size which would not be like Kirk's.

And yes you are right about them being popular, Jimmy has quite a few dinky 5-strings in process... Although I haven't personally seen any Ash ones... I'm curious to hear what a dinky LM5 would sound like.

Well guys I am glad nobody took me up on my LM offer. While I liked the idea of selling and ordering another one there are just some really one off options like the custom neck profile and 1 piece neck that I'm not sure Jimmy will be doing
