Like i told jimmy, when the rest of the band enjoys my bass tones as much as i do...it makes life so much easier! Haha

I dont got to tell u guys bout that since we are ALL part of the "Famiglia"!!

Shout out to all of the past, present and future AC owners! I wouldnt wanna be anywhere else!!

Mike X

I wish you would've told me Mike... I live in Santa Ana! By the time Jimmy mentioned it I already made plans.... Next time!

And Mitch, if you come through CA I'd love to see the show and meet you in person Bro!

Hey guys need help picl\king a color for my LM. Right now I have trans black as color but, still thinking. I like the trans red and trans white, but my LG is olympic white and the trans is too much of an eye catcher fro me. I saw a pic of the Tea burst. Looks nice...what about witha clear PG. Also thought about natural, the Marcus look, but the Hippy will natural. LOL Oh well, any thoughts?
Also my neck will be standard, no blocks or binding.

Hey guys, just sayin' hey! Still totally loving my LM! I STILL have not had to adjust the neck!!!!

Nice to see some pictures of these beauties!

Hope you are all well.

Hello back to you, K, nice for you to check in! Your posts have been very helpful, I'm deciding between building a fEARful 12/6/1 or buying an AK Thunderchild 12.
I'm happy to say my neck is in the current batch and looking forward to my new bigbody KBP5 later this year. Lime teal with tortoise guard and matching headstock, like the "Willie Weeks" bass.

I heard it plays itself in all keys but c flat...;-)

:D Seriously, it is literally the first wooden neck instrument I've ever owned (over about a 40 year period) that seems to be totally stable across seasons and geography. I know this isn't an A-C thing, since my LG needed the typical minor adjustments (although very minor and rare). However, this particular piece of neck wood is really something.

Not a huge deal of course, but pretty cool in that it always feels exactly, identically the same, year after year.

Thanks Jimmy! Best bass I've ever owned, period.

Are you doing the double J as well or traditional P bass pickup?

Just the P bass pickup. I'm a P bass guy, though I do have a 70's style Suhr Classic J I bought from Jimmy in 2003.

You know what, when my time comes to order a KBP I'm not sure that I'll go the PJ route either... I never use just the neck pickup even on straight J's and I didn't like the sound of the PJ combined at least on my former Mike Lull. Although Jimmy's pickups are in a different league than those Duncans the Lull had... I'll most likely go for a straight KBP4.
