That one is my fav so far... I'm tempted to trade my trans white LM for it but the fact that it's 18mm is stopping me. All of Jimmy's basses sound great in my opinion but every once in a while one stands out even more and this is one of them. The notes just seem to jump out of it. The finish is indeed Fbass-like but it wasn't meant that way. It was actually an accident and the result of a compromise between Jimmy and the painter... Beautiful!

im surprised how this one came out... it was an interesting accidental outcome.. but when i left the shop... it didnt look like that.. it was almost a rootbeer trans with black sides.. but i guess when they buffed it down thats what it ended up like... bummed he wasnt able to get the Costa Rican Mahogany bass... it looks so sick! cant wait for that one..

Yes she is!!! But I just want to let you know it is a TB model so it's 18mm spacing at the bridge. A truly spectacular and unique Coppolo!

Funny how we all react to aesthetics differently. That, to me, is not my thing. Pure IMO there. The rest of them look great.

Lol! I was waiting for the usual suspects to express their dislike for that one. For me, I dig that Jimmy is trying to step out a little; whether on purpose or by accident; I like how the basses still sound vintage but can have a modern look for someone looking for it.

On other news, the best part of my weekend wasn't A~C related per se... I won a raffle for an Epi Jack Casady sig bass!!! Jack drew my name, he signed it and even set it up the way he liked it and did a full demo of the features and then... He played it for me!!!!

Yeah, I know it's typical/boring, but you're right about me. I very much prefer the more typical finishes.

But hey, I may be kinda' narrow minded when it comes to finish types, but I am at least open minded about designs. I've got a few basses that pretty radically break the "typical double cut" (Fender-ish or otherwise) type aesthetic and I love'em.

1 outa' 2 ain't bad.

I kinda like the racing stripe basses. Didnt much care for the tie dyed sparkly bass and don't much love the black band enhanced grain.

I'm more traditional but I'm sure someone will fall in love with them. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

if it was done like an f bass i think id love it. right now it kind of looks like someone started stripping it, got tired of sanding and said "f it, im leaving it"

That is a great story Yohann that kind of thing is super fun! I saw and heard Hot Tuna play the Fillmore East in the summer of 1970 when the first album came out and they were unbelievable. Just Jack and Jorma with the harmonica guy Will Scarlett for a few songs. That Jack tone with its depth and top end makes for a very satisfying bass experience! Life is long, Art longer.
