In Memoriam
I've had some decent photographers shooting action shots of my bands lately!
Unfortunately, they all turn out like this.
I don't think I'll be buying the rights to the photos.

...while I'm in a sharing mood, since I've become a lurker, here's a link to a live studio recording I did with a project band last month using LG5 #74. Her strings were prolly about 6 months old, so I think the engineer fooled around with my sound in mastering.
The tune is Christian McBride's "...or so you thought" from his album "A Family Affair". Hope ya dig!

This is purely just for testing... I assume to identify any potential issues with the electronics. Jimmy has never "recommended" this... I shared this because someone asked how he does QC at the shop.

Ahhhh I got it now....I was assuming he meant how does Jimmy recommend or set up his basses control wise for people to demo....

Thanks fellas! The group was a project doing mostly Nils Landgren tunes. He's a swede trombone player who leads a pretty killing funk unit. When we needed a bass feature we threw in the McBride tune. I typically like to rock a more Jaco, Rocco, or even Marcus style tone when I play funk. I don't know what the sound guy did to my tone, but it just goes to show how versatile a great jazz bass is. Jimmy has really been awesome to deal with over the years when my bass needed some attention. I'd get another AC, but my arsenal of vintage tones is pretty solid right now and the wait is too much! I think my wait was only a handful of months back in 2007. 
Musicians like to talk crap about dealing with singers, but our two female vocalists really MADE the group.

Thanks. I like the results even though I was less than thrilled with my transaction with Chandler/Pickguard Heaven. The stock pickguard is parchment and the true color of the body is offwhite with a slightly grey-ish cast (rather than yellow or cream coloring). It didn't really pull together than cool monochrome look that I imagine was intended.
