Club Alleva-Coppolo (Part 21)

I know this one has been around a little, but she's new to me! I recently picked this up in a trade, and I'm really impressed! I believe it's an '07 AC1600. Specs: alder body, 1pc maple neck with a particularly cool flat-sawn grain pattern, Honduran rosewood fingerboard, and a spalted maple top for good measure. I was originally looking for a more "traditional" 5 string for occasions when my Fodera 6 isn't ideal, so the spalted maple top was actually a little bit of a turn-off (more into the olympic white or sunburst look) but now that I've had a chance to play it in a variety of settings, I can say that I'm thoroughly digging it!

Loving your old Emperor like you wouldn't believe! The AC really is the perfect bass to pair with it... between the ash, dual coils/pope pre and the alder, single coils/AC pre, I'm pretty sure I have every bass tone I could possibly want here in two beautiful instruments!

You have an AC on order, right?? Hopefully not too much longer of a wait for you.

Yes, I got one LG and have one on order.. thats pretty long wait...........................

I ordered my new Classic Custom LG5 about a year ago and its out of paint this week.. I may get it around Christmas or right after the new year..
I left it up to Jimmy to pic a color for me. He knows what i like in classic colors.
I found out it will be a Shoreline Gold special... Looking forward to seeing it and playing it. I really need it this week though.. But oh well...

I tried the D800 in the store .. I really liked it.. Is it as much ummph and overall VOL as the MBF800?
I usually have headroom left over with the MBF.. Not so with my other class D amps.. The MBF is pretty potent.. Do you think the D800 is close?

My new LG5 is nearing completion. Jimmy sent me a photo of the painted body today .. Deciding on Pickup covers.. I'm going with Black.. . Not sure what pickguard color i'm going with just yet.. I told him to surprise me with the color. I had an idea we were going with a Gold. Sort of a cross between Les Paul Gold top and Nitrocellulose Shoreline 60s Gold... Matching headstock

GREAT color. I suggest a parchment pickguard.

Lighting was a little weird.. BUT its Almost done.. Thanks for the SUGGESTIONS guys on my Facebook page. I DID GO with the Parchment Pickguard instead of TORT-pepperoni... My Alleva Coppolo LG5 CUSTOM with body cut (Jimmy slimmed it down ). Old Growth Dalbergia Negra Brazilian Rosewood.. Its all made from Logs that i picked out.. . Bridge is custom Alleva Bridge made in the machine shop next door. . This must be my 7th one hence the writing inside the neck pocket.. LOL.. My last LG5 was trashed by a drunk wandering up on stage:eek:
