Norm Stockton will open the Alleva-Coppolo Bassacre show this Saturday... If you're in town be sure to swing by Bass San Diego, you won't want to miss him.
FYI... I may let the folks at the GK thread know too. Last year was a blast. Norm brought some GK toys with him to play and demo

I just picked this off of the Alleva FaceBook page. I was able to hang with Jerry at last years show. Real nice guy. HIm and Chuck Rainey were only a few that attended The Alleva BASSACRE.. I believe Chuck is doing a clinic this year..

I have not seen the Alleva Coppolo Giveaway bass just yet

A must see - Jerry Jemmott featuring Tobi Hero on guitar will be performing at this Saturday's Alleva-Coppolo Bassacre Oct 10th- above SoCal's premier Bass shop Bass San Diego - 6255 Ferris Square, 92121

Im not sure about this year. But last year as you entered, you were able to buy raffle tickets.. There were many give aways. REDDI DIs were given away. , I won a set of Nordstrand J4 pups and a Nordstrand preamp... Others won strings, and speaker cabs then the final raffle was a custom one of a king Alleva Coppolo bass giveaway. All the proceeds go to an animal holistic health charity...So all the vendors are a part and helping animals, showing some gear, clinics by some of the top of the top players. .. Its a great day of Bass hang

How does one enter to win? Donation?

Do you have to be present?

You should have seen this bass before Jimmy repaired it...
The headstock was completely snapped off.. The body was cracked at the horn... it had no finish..
Here it is completely restored. Chuck Rainey stopped at the Alleva Coppolo shop yesterday to pick it up.. The bass will be at the BASSAXRE Alleva Coppolo show this Saturday Oct. 10 along with Chuck its owner.
It was used on part of the Steely Dan record Aja. That's some history!
I took some photos of it last spring when it was in its completely destroyed condition..I have to go dig them up.. Its looks pretty now
And here is Sebnem doing her magic after winding a custom set of P pickups for Chuck

Shameless plug - but also thought you guys might like to hear my LM5 in action. The tone I got in the studio was amazing IMO. Listen with headphones if you want to hear the bass. The other tracks on the EP were recorded with my KBP4 but my favourite tone came from this big 5 stringer. You can stream for free!! Not trying to sell anything.
* The bass is actually an Ash bodied RA5 (I guess coz it has black blocks)

Sounds great! I know it's a bit off the AC topic but I bet you would really dig a project called "brotherly" with Robin Mullarkey. Very modern and progressive with lots of harmonic and metric fun and some great female vocals. Not many stateside seem to know of them but any chance I get to turn someone on to them I take it!

Nice tone and playing Rictose- thanks for sharing.

This year's Bassacre was great…Jerry is truly a gentleman and has so much to share, such a nice authentic old school groove coming from him too :) Norm was great as always, Chuck Rainey had so many words of wisdom its always great to hear him play and talk. ( plus I got to hold the Peg and Josie "Aja" bass!)
Jimmy keeps out doing himself on the level of work lately (and for a while now). I got to hang out at the shop again for a few days adjusting and testing a few new basses for me and trying out all the other ones too…..all beautifully made and sounded killer imo.

Thanks for another great time and event Jimmy!
