So far so good,,,
I love the neck cut. I asked him to make it a little deeper from front to back.. i want some MEAT on the neck I think it adds to stiffness and is easier on the muscle in my left hand. When a neck is too thin i pinch more and i get a cramp in my thumb..
Finish is Flawless Nitro.. Its LePaul Gold but with a tinge of Copper flake. It looks Classic.
I like his New preamp casing. Its enclosed in a perfectly machined block.. .
The balance is great. It is 8.5 pounds on my fish scale and not chambered Alder body. It is resonant..
I did quick session yesterday for a buddy that lives down the block from me. and it sounded fantastic. Like an old Jazz bass.. Perfect. Ill post more more photos. I have a sub gig tonight that i need to brush up on their material . and a church gig in the morning with a bass part from hell that i need to lock down.

I need to break it in and play it a lot..
.. new paint is a distraction to me. LOL.. I look at how pretty it is instead of playing it... LOL..

I thought that maybe i would share these with the Alleva folks .
I took these pics the other day 2016 of my sig KBP4. . Bass was made in 2004.. I think.. Cant remember..
The Poudah Bass.. She sure has been thru the mill. But it's playability is like butter.. Smooth and tight.. With a growl that i have never felt or heard in a P bass. People are always commenting on this one.
I've gone thru many pickups changes .( to experiment) and I came back to the originals. And that's the way it stays.
This bass has been all around Planet Earth and the USA with me.
Its Lightweight Alder, Nitro, It was Sonic Blue but faded...parts have turned surf Green a little bit. I know it looks lighter here.. Lighting.
It has a rare African Rosewood Fingerboard that has smooth and very fast attack..Jimmy basically copied my old '63 jazz neck so its an "A" width..
I'm experimenting with an old Badass Bridge that I had laying around and changed the original parchment guard to the Faux salami PG for the winter.
Stock bridge is going back on the bass today, and Parchment guard will go back after the winter season..
People ask about POUDAH.. I was on a session the week after i got this bass. The bass was PRISTINE. My dog Poudah passed away the day before. The producer sent out for lunch. I was rather down in spirit,, I had my fork and knife eating lunch and I just felt it was in me to Put her name (Poudah) on the back of the bass . That way I would see it forever. I knew that i would never sell this bass.
She was a great dog. Since then As my dogs pass away, I put their name in the back too.
This is the most unique sounding basses that i have ever played.

Just beautiful...Lighting was a little weird.. BUT its Almost done.. Thanks for the SUGGESTIONS guys on my Facebook page. I DID GO with the Parchment Pickguard instead of TORT-pepperoni... My Alleva Coppolo LG5 CUSTOM with body cut (Jimmy slimmed it down ). Old Growth Dalbergia Negra Brazilian Rosewood.. Its all made from Logs that i picked out.. . Bridge is custom Alleva Bridge made in the machine shop next door. . This must be my 7th one hence the writing inside the neck pocket.. LOL.. My last LG5 was trashed by a drunk wandering up on stage
