So happy with this combi!

Anyone out there who knows this kind of fingerboard wood ?

"Boogie Down Bronx Rosewood" ???

What does it mean ?

And "Xtra On Heel" ??

LOL you'd have to ask Jimmy himself what that means! Probably a little inside joke between him and who knows. Xtra on heel might indicate that the neck and FB were planed so that the board would be extra thick at the heel. Is the board slab-styled?

Hi Guys,
It's been a looooooong while since I've been on this thread, and in the A-C club for that matter. I'm fixing that this year with an LM5 Deluxe-Rosewood; which is the original spec I meant to order when I first met Jimmy in 2009, but got tempted along the way by other available basses when I spent a lot of time at the shop.

I'm still debating on the color but the initial thought is a plain and simple natural satin with the block inlays being the feature (bling).

I'm a fan of his CAOJ and Plum Crazy finishes.

Potential trade alert:

My RA5 (northern ash body) made in 2011. I'm looking for a LG4 or LG5 (prefer LG4). 11lbs. Black binding and blocks, with tinted neck and extra tinted headstock.

I live in Melbourne Australia so anyone who is keen and who has the right bass to offer would have to work out logistics with me. Via PM I can link to recordings I've done with this bass. It's sounds ridiculously good.

p bass not included.

Does anybody knows anything about this one?

Well the description is short, but gets to it! Jimmy hasn't built a lot of KS basses, but they tend to be light and give you a nice belly growl! They all generally have the 1-ply pickguard and cream or white pickup covers and usually (but not always) Strat-style knobs. The two people I know who own them (one of my favorite customers from BSD, and Khari Simmons himself) aren't ever gonna part with them!
