Today is the BIG day for some of you (Bernie, Sean).....if you can put it down long enough, drop a line to let us know what you think.......

I don't get my LG until Friday :( I'll have to live the moment through Bernie heheh

Hey guys,

Sorry about not updating my post earlier. I actually won't be receiving my bass til Friday either. I'm assuming for the same reason Sean is getting his Friday. The price for 2 day shipping from California to my neck of the woods is quite expensive.

I'm tracking my bass and it hasn't changed status from the time it left California so I'm assuming it's on the back of a truck going down the road.

Friday can't get here soon enough..

You are correct, shipping is spendy!

I am looking forward to seeing the Gold KBP5.. That will be sweet!!
But I would love to see a Shoreline Gold KBP5 with Dalbergia Fingerboard.. Retro vintage yet real slick.. I havent seen one like that yet, whos gonna be first? I dont remember too many Shoreline Gold Allevas,, But his Nitro guy does a ****ing incredible job on all those colors

.

I think it's great that someone as busy as Jimmy takes the time to come on here and update us. He has always responded promptly to my emails too, which is great.

(BTW Jimmy, if you're reading this, I'm the Limey who is moving to Australia in September ;) )

Hey Man,

Jimmy, you have just made me incredibly happy. That is wonderful news. I cannot wait to get to Australia to play this fantastic bass. I have the afternoon off so Louise, who I married shortly after our NY trip(you remember her? She made friends with Caesar, she's a real animal lover), and I are going to sit down and book our flights. I'll email you the address for shipping right now and you can send it when it is ready. My friends over there will take good care of it until I arrive.

Once more, thanks for taking such good care of me and building such fantastic instruments.

shhhh. My KBP5 is going to be shoreline gold. My LG was going to be, but I changed my mind when I ordered.

Just sent Jimmy an email to get my AC happening -

Kpb4 in burgundy mist
Nitro with matching headstock
Dalbergia negra board

I am still unsure what nut width to go for but i guess i will wait to hear back from Jimmy.

I have been thinking about this bass for ages. feels good to get the ball rolling - - Do you guys know what the wait time is now?

It has been really helpful reading all the great info you guys have on these basses. especially when i cant find anyone in oz who has one for me to check out.

Thanks guys...

Something was said about an 8 month wait a few pages back....Jimmy seems to be cranking them right out, but I know he has quite a bit left to do at the new spot before he can really go full speed....congrats, though...........a KBP w/ Dalbergia Negra is a winning combination for sure.....:bassist:
