My KPB-5 was going to be Ice Blue Metallic but the painter had a blue problem - so it is a bit different. I LIKE IT! If anyone else wants that color they have to specify "Dan's Blue." Should be done sometime soon!

very cool Dan! almost Lake Placid-ish

maybe it can be Lake Cuyamaca Blue! :smug: (gotta love Google)

on second thought, "Dan's Blue" rolls off the tongue a bit easier :D

Parchment pickguard right now... maybe something else later to accessorize! I'm open for suggestions and pics.

Contact Jimmy for a tour - he's in the Upland area, pretty close to you.

I was wondering about either white or black mother of toilet seat - I had a black Sonor mother of toilet seat drum set and loved it! It will be a while until I do it, though.

Well, I picked up my new bass from Jimmy tonight - ABSOLUTELY STINKIN' AMAZING! No pics until tomorrow, so I guess it really doesn't exist yet (:smug:).

Anyway, no decent volume playing since my 4-year-old was in bed when I got home but it sure sounds great!

Just an update of what all was built last week. Bernie, Sean and Chris your basses will go out tomorrow when my new assistant Patrick makes it in. Call after 11:00 if you decide to change method of shipment. The black KBP4 is Hajime's, the black LG5 is Daryl's... Daryl, it's complete please give me a call. The Silver fretless Gara put on Lay-A-way (thank you) and the Dan's Blue you all know who it belongs to. As for the piles of unassembled bodies that's next weeks batch. There's lots more in paint so if you don't see yours here stay tuned. More batches on the way. Hope this is cool to post with Talk Bass ... please let me know if not.
Jimmy

Sigh...

I want to join the club, but I have to move my Sad MV5 first. The more AC's I see, the more I feel the temptation.

Just give me a call (after 11:00 am). I usually don't do this but if you really would like to get one and if (and only if) by chance I have a no home or something in stock that will work for you, maybe we can work some sort of trade.

I said it before and I will say it again, you are the sh*^ dude! I think it is awesome of you to do this here. I think a lot of people appreciate the gesture and recognize that it saves you time and them the headache of not knowing. I think it would be really cool to see reports like this in this thread as you get basses done. In fact, I will go so far as to REQUEST that you do this if and when you can in order to keep with the TB rules!

Hey Jimmy, cold you post up a progress report in the Alleva thread on the basses you have done as you get them done???...:D

I am getting my White LG5 back this week and I am going to call you about sending in my Marcus for your PUPS tomorrow if I can remember to do it. What time is best for something like that? God bless you for doing what you do, you are in a class by yourself in my opinion! All of us here really appreciate what you are doing bro, keep it up!

Peace,

T

Its been a while since Ive got through this thread and Ive had a fair chunk to catch up on. Glad to hear the moves gone well Jimmy and everythings up and running over there.

Im going to guess my LG-5 is one of the special orders thats still going through your New York painter.. I hope all is well with him!
Im guessing patience is one of my better virtues since I placed my order mid november last year! Im more than happy to wait for this puppy but.

Yeah I think I want to upgrade my shipping, I'll call to discuss. The thought of my bass bumping around in the back of a truck makes me ill :D
