:D I love these basses (LM's) SO much, and have sold off so much other stuff (amps, basses, cabs) over the last 12 months, that I have quite a war-chest at the moment. It's fun to keep an eye out for something very specific (like that LM in a color I really like) and be able to take the plunge when it shows up.
I feel exactly the same way!

Nope. He decided to stick with his LEJ, from what Brian said. So, I just bought it from Brian. Brian's price was reasonable (he originally had it listed for quite a high price, but was mistakenly using a more tricked out version as his basis for that).

A lower price.... :crying:

I've been looking for an LM-5 and emailed Brian when I saw the CAR bass was available. The price was almost the price of a new one so I passed. Oh well maybe next time. Congrats on the new bass.

Yeah, when he told me that original price, I know something was wrong. He was basing that price on the cost of the 'supreme' or whatever, with the blocks and binding, etc. He looked up the more standard LM5 price, and then dropped the price IMO appropriately.

Interesting. I just checked with Jimmy on the CAR 'LM5' I just purchased. He said it's actually an RA5 with dots (the only one he's made), that was originally made for Paul Taylor.

So, I assume that means Alder body with maple board.

Cool! :bassist: That will make it a touch different flavor than the LM5 I already own.

Edit: This is assuming this is the same bass that was listed on Ebay recently, which is where I found the serial number.

Not sure if it's the bass from eBay, but that's the same info Jimmy gave me. Great bass!

Nice score. Your LM5 is in trouble though...:hiding:

Very very cool...

KBP5 almost done! I think I'm going with tort guard though.
