I feel exactly the same way!I love these basses (LM's) SO much, and have sold off so much other stuff (amps, basses, cabs) over the last 12 months, that I have quite a war-chest at the moment. It's fun to keep an eye out for something very specific (like that LM in a color I really like) and be able to take the plunge when it shows up.
Enjoy KJung! I pass the torch to you. LOL
Nope. He decided to stick with his LEJ, from what Brian said. So, I just bought it from Brian. Brian's price was reasonable (he originally had it listed for quite a high price, but was mistakenly using a more tricked out version as his basis for that).

A lower price....
I've been looking for an LM-5 and emailed Brian when I saw the CAR bass was available. The price was almost the price of a new one so I passed. Oh well maybe next time. Congrats on the new bass.

That will make it a touch different flavor than the LM5 I already own.Interesting. I just checked with Jimmy on the CAR 'LM5' I just purchased. He said it's actually an RA5 with dots (the only one he's made), that was originally made for Paul Taylor.
So, I assume that means Alder body with maple board.

Edit: This is assuming this is the same bass that was listed on Ebay recently, which is where I found the serial number.
Not sure if it's the bass from eBay, but that's the same info Jimmy gave me. Great bass!
