The first A/C I played was at NAMM close to 10 years ago at NAMM, a P4, and it was the bass that knocked me out more than any other there. I'd never heard of Jimmy's basses yet but I was hooked. IMO, NAMM is essential to getting his work out there. I run into working players all the time who have never heard of or seen an A/C. One hellish weekend at NAMM and there are potentially thousands of new people like me who will remember his basses.

He has to develop a hum canceling J style pickup he's happy with. That could be a big challenge, depending on how particular he is, and from what I understand, he's very particular. :)

Let me say, first hand, that this is one of the most beautiful instruments I have ever seen and held (along with my Ric, which is in one of the porn shots). She feels awesome, but I will give a more in depth analysis of the playability, sound...a full review later.

The finish is incredible. I tried to get a good picture of the grain as well. The nitro on the headstock looks killer and I truly love the Bigg Redd inlay, it looks awesome in person! Jason is a smart dude! Also, the finish and feel on/of the neck is incredible...so smooth.

I am already in love...I can only imagine how much more I will be in love as each day progresses. :hyper:

Man I love that bass!

I was (am) toiling with the idea of getting one of the NAMM basses so I could already have an A-C but I think any bass I get now will be "transitional" for me and will eventually be sold cause I can't get my LM5 on order out of my head - given I only have funds for 1 bass. You never know, we'll see next week!
