A little too confining for me, and the zipper can really hurt, but I agree it is a nice bass:p

Very true, K, although those pro-tec contego's do have quite the padding.

If, or shall I say when, I procure another one of theses amazing basses, I am thinking of an inlay that just says "sex" because that is what Jimmy's basses are. Sex on wood.

AC basses do not promote abstinence. A little too far?...Oh well.

:D Burke's little 'inside joke' above is based on the wonderful initial GTG we had a number of years ago at Tom Bowlus house. Everyone was raving over a cab that weighed 98 pounds. After a few glasses of scotch at that point, I pointed out that the only thing I would be interested in that weighed 98 pounds or more would have to look darn good in a bra and panties:D:p

I agree...it's perfect.

I was thinking about calling Jimmy and asking him about the
LG5's he will have at NAMM. But they hit us with lay off's
again Thursday. I made the cut but my supervisor didn't.
More cuts are possible in April so It's not a good time to
buy another bass.:(

At least I can look forward to look at the pics from NAMM.:atoz:

I really love the looks of Jeff Becks strat in the new live DVD if it looks just like that I'll be very happy. You could make a case for either the partchment or black guard based on the old teles and original p basses

I love the looks of those kbp mock ups with the j pickup

yeah.. what i like is the new headstock taper.. where the Nut is and the low B string tuner is on pic 43.. the headstock has a steeper incline like on the old fenders.. where my LG and P5 have the angle somewhat at a leg degree of sloping taper... Front view of course.. also notice the skunk stripe on the maple neck.. mmm one piece necks! nice

Nice tweaks to the design. I just picked up an FBass VF5 'prototype' with a one piece maple neck with 'skunk stripe'. It's pretty cool.. that one piece neck builds on the 'old school' vibe. Nice that Jimmy is offering that also.

Ken.. Fbasses.. I always liked those basses.. and George is such a nice person too

+1 Just like Jimmy, George is one of those guys who you don't mind giving your money to! I'm still an A-C guy all the way, but love trying all this stuff out, and that 'one piece neck ash/maple 70's thing' really caught my eye. It is MUCH different from the typical FBass, and closer in sound to Jimmy's LM than to the FBass classic BN line.

Anyway, Jimmy's shop looks awesome. I hope NAMM goes well for him.
