+1 on pearl blocks/bindings on a bass that color.
I've always thought the black looked odd when it wasn't on a black bass. But who cares, I'd play an AC any color, anytime.
Also, I thought ACs had a better production value...I guess I was wrong. Afterall, I can see the wire holding up the bass!

hehe ;)

not yet.. i think he may have the release at bass player live.. im not sure.. i hate to call him today since he is trying to get ready for the show this week..

Hey Kirk, since you can be a pain in Jimmy's ass...have you heard any word yet on the future price of AC strings?

how did you know about the RA5? pic below.... i just nabbed this from him.. i will try to get more... i am a pain in his ass

I really like the black blocks now on 70s Jazzes..probebly because they are just not as common and remind me of some of the funkiest music I grew up on:)
Wondering if someone knows if those are the regular tuners that he puts on the 5s?

they are hipshot ultra lites but with a custom mini lollipop button.... only the 4 strings have regular size tuners with the '66 style lollipop type tuners

Yes, I believe it is. I'm pretty sure there's that one, a Nitro White One. A Black one and a Candy Apple Red that are both Poly. I really hope I'm not spoiling anything but I know I metioned this in the last AC thread.

BTW, my LG is gonna be Ice blue metallic with matching headstock, this is the bass that didn't make this batch of bodies before the finisher went on vacation.

I'm riding a major LG5 high tonight so I thought I'd blabber on about it to the club.

LG5, AC Nickles, Passive mode, Neck pup 80%, Bridge pup 50%, and a Dunlop 1.5mm pick:SWEET JESUS BALLS TO THE WALL ROCK TONE.

After years and years of fingerstyle play, I have only this year developed a love of the articulate, percussive pick bass sound. Tonight, I had to learn Fall Out Boy's song, Sugar (we're going down), and I am floored by the tone coming out of my amp.

If you've never rocked a pick on your AC...go try it right now! That's an order! lol.

I can't get this sound out of the 3,500 dollar fender custom shop "64 I use at work!
