I have been GAS free for a little over a year now (bass-wise anyway). This thread is a killing me!

I'm just glad I'll probably never be able to justify affording one of these things. They are awesome.

Ok Friends! I burned rubber down the highway and managed to pick her up before UPS closed. Here come some pics!

I know it's a little racy to post her half naked, but this is how she came.
Even when she was packed in the gigbag and shipping box, she didn't weigh over 9lbs!
This is one light bass, and everything about the way it feels is comfortable. And guess what, not a single perceivable dead spot on the neck.
I haven't spent a ton of time with it yet, but I can confidently say that there is no need for any EQ with this bass because its natural passive sound is luxurious (lol..i know...i know...). This bass just naturally sounds great, with everything flat, passive or active, you name it, it just sounds and feels good.

I'll work up a real review at a later date after I've got some more of my DNA on her.

Also, the Alleva Coppolo Nickle Strings are lovely. And I think I'll stick with'em on this bass.
I guess it's time I got myself a club number! =D

That is beautiful. The rosewood neck is very classy looking.

This is my 1st bass with a nitro body, and I gotta say I love this finish. The older my poly basses get the more I see the finish and the scratches, but this bass all you see is color.
My primary 5 string up to this point is an EBMM, which has tigher stright spacing and a deeper neck. It's interesting how nicely comfortable the shallower neck profile and wider string spacing is...I know it's been said, but it's just like a jazz with a B added. Very nice.

Doesn't the Nitro finish wear through more easily than a Poly finish? My F Bass Nitro finish has not held up well. I still dig it, and I believe many luthiers believe the Nitro finish 'breathes' better. It is also less harmful to work with I think.

I am digging the AC basses man! You guys are killing me with GAS! I need a freaking Prilosec ..and fast!

Perfect! Well aside from the tort..

The one thing I find odd about Jimmy's basses is the Hipshot bridge. He should really look at getting a 5 string vintage style bridge (with the threaded saddles) manufactured since that's the vibe he's going for. The B-style bridge just looks out of place to me
