what's with the 21st fret?? :eyebrow: looks chopped off half way up.

Ok i fed my own GAS.. im dead now...
Im in line for a P5 when it is done around NAMM show time or so.
With a Dalbergia Negra " Brazilian Rosewood" fingerboard on that real old Alder body material that he has with either the aged nitro Olympic White or one of the nitro 3 tone 60s sunbursts... That is a hard choice.. Because those 60s sunbursts in person and up close look like the old fenders..

Last namm the Fender custom shop people were commenting on how they wished they could do it like that.. im not kidding.. they really said that.. yet the Olympic white in nitro is just stupid authentic... I may have to do a pole in about 3 months to help me choose...

Awesome! I can't wait to see that. I'm sure it'll be amazing.

The Olympic White is amazing. Paul's bass makes drool every time I see it!

Sounds amazing... Those finishes are both incredible... maybe you'll just have to get 2 more basses so you can have a burst and a white one :)

I need to do a pole my damn self! I'm really stuck between colors. I spoke to Jimmy the other day and he said the finish I was looking at wasn't a sure bet. something about seeing swirls whn it finishes. All of a sudden, it stopped coming out the right way. Anyway, I really like the color of Ken's Bass and was thinking about that, but I kina want my own thing. Not doing Olympic White (there are too many others out there.....a third of A-C 5 strings are Olympic White. I like Blue Ice Metallic, but not as much as those brown Metallics (Firemist Gold, Shorline Gold, Harvest Gold)..... having a tough time deciding.:scowl:

It really is hard to decide. So many great colors out there. I'm sure you'll dig whatever you go with.

No matter what it will look great. But i understand why you would want something great to look at. But the reality is, it will be the sound that will give you the reasons why you bought the bass in the first place.
I don't think the olympic white is over stated in alot of Jimmys basses. In fact i have not seen alot of them in other style basses also. I think it would look great in that color. Don't let the popularity of the color sway you. I like mine and the Candy Apple Orange Juice color. What about Shoreline green?
or Gold? What is the neck. Maple, Rosewood?

Ace you had to do it...:) I love Shoreline Gold too.. oh man..Now the waqter just got deeper...

I have a few weeks before i have to decide.. I am more stoked on getting the Dalbegia Negra fingerboard.... that should be a great feeling sounding instrument....

I guess we should never say that were GAS free..
