The Inca has landed.. I have been playing it for a few hours how.. It is exactly what i wanted.. exactly...
I will take some pics tomorrow with early morning sunlight.. i only have a few flash shots now..
The Nitro finish is over the top and does not show the deep luster in any of the pics that i have taken.. It will look real nice in a few years when it starts to yellow some...
It is like my other Allevas. just perfect for my applications... My KBP4 is so broken in it feels like a real nice pair of leather shoes that fit perfectly.. i few knocks and dings on this bass and it will be the same...
I really cant say much but it is just superb.. i went to a Jam for about an hour tonight and this bass is very very punchy... its scary!..
I dont have a review.. but i can only give it two thumbs up... it was a replacement for my other LG5 Lake Placid Blue.... It is every bit as nice but without the dings... give me a week or two.. :0)
Every Alleva that i own feels like it is broken in when i get it. this one is slightly different since i got a Nitro finish on the maple neck... so it will take a littloe time to break in for me...
I will post a few pics tomorrow.. It has some experimental pickups that he is making for Paul Turners bass.. and i love them... Very balanced from string to string without over tilting the pickup in the route...

Next is my KBP5 which i will get at NAMM next week... yeooooo

Yes that SB P5 is smokin.. I love the flats on it too.
The Pickup and that bridge really make it vintagey.... There was alot of time spent on the details .. jimmy took about 2 years to get that bridge done right.. I was busting his balls on that for about two years too... and he got it right..

Ok i could not resist... but the finish has a slight more champagne to it than the photos show.. the flash makes it real silvery...
Dont mind the dirty Strap locks.. I pulled them off my old Musicman until i get to guitar center tomorrow to get some new ones..

That is sweet. Ill call you but congratulations on a great bass. 3 Alleva Coppolo's......... Amazing collection.

Nice Kirk ... real nice. I love the Silver. My previous NYC Sadowsky PJ4 was ordered in silver and it picks up the stage lights like mirror without reflecting back. Very classy. I had a white pickguard but prefer the black lam you have. Still think they should finish the bevel all the way around though....:ninja:

I don't know if it's the same with all Nitro finishes; I'm assuming it would be; but Sadowsky warns about the nitro being affected by certain other materials especially like the soft rubber material on some guitar stands. He would alway include a U shaped fuzzy sock to go over the neck rest of the stand. Sorta of a pain but it worked. Ask Jimmy about it.

I agree the black lam PG looks perfect against the silver finish. But I would opt for white since I am OCD about finger smudges on black. <rainman voice on> Definitely OCD. Definitely OCD about smudges. Definitely, Yeah. <rainman voice off> :D (I'm twisted. I know) But what a smokin' sweet bass! Congrats!

I always liked the look of nitro.. i also never really worry about dings or scratches after the first one.. :hmm:
Actually i am so hard on my instruments, i just play them and they get dinged up.. to me its just another hammer in the tool box.... damn expensive hammer but none the less... After the first ding i kind of like the way it wears.. my good friend on the other hand has a guitar that he plays everyday, he has had it for about 14 years and it looks as if it just came off the showroom floor... that would make me nuts.. he polishes it and tucks it in at night.. lol..
Mind you that i do take very good care of my gear and maintain it perhaps better than most would an expensive tool.. but i dont worry too much... give me a week and i know i will have some small ding in it...:bawl:

They follow the curvature of the fingerboard a little better. So you can set the pickup somewhat easier.. the winds are the same as far as i know.. Just something that paul asked for...

Jimmy's new bridge looks sweet. Will the new bridges be standard on all of his basses? or will it be an option?
