Congradulations on the bass Kirk!

That particular color combo reminds me of inca stingrays. A good friend Scott palmer used to LOVE him some Inca he owned a old Inca Stingray and Cutlass and the other 2 pickup model.They all had black pickgards and maple fretboards. Your bass is reminding me of Scott.

thats where i got the idea.. Jimmy has an old 70s Inca Stingray that i loved. It has yellowed over the years and looks killer...he inspired me on that one..

The smaller headstock is the original version one style.. He went to the larger size to add the wood so it sounds closer to a fender style bass... it does make a difference i have found. Although my smaller headstock P is maybe the best sounding P that i have played.. go figure.... It plays itself......
Also the larger size headstock that he now uses has full size diameter string posts where the smaller headstock had Hipshot ultralights..
Also the Jazz bass is not an Alleva Coppolo bass.. Just the neck is.. He built if for me so i can do some evals on whatever he sends me tweak out..

and yes, that's the "2+ year" neck isn't it on the J4?(or was it many more moons than that??) :D

I do dig the look/idea of the bigger paddles too, and the fact of bigger posts/mass/tone/etc.

I was planning on an oly white bound and blocked maple neck for my next coppolo but this one has made me rethink both the color and b&b. That is one hot bass.
