Club Behringer? hey hey hey

I have used some Behringer rack gear at chuch and it's been ok.

I have a PMH 3000 12 Channel powered mixer. It's 3 years old and has been perfect as far as reliability goes. I also have a BX3000 30 watt cheapo practice amp. Had it for a couple of years and no problems. It has been used for the last 6 months by a friend of mine as a mandolin amp. It sounds great for that.

I also have the CT100 cable tester. great product.

I'm no Behringer champion. But I can't say too much about them thats negative. I have no desire to really own anything else.

I own miscellaneous Behringer gear. I research all my gear, and if there's a good fit I have no issue buying Behringer. Quality, Value, Engineering, Support, it's all there.

It's not just beginner gear, and just like many companies they have their pro-endorsers:

And some of these talents are top notch in my book.
Although, if you're good, it doesn't matter what gear you play.

I have that very mixer sitting 3 feet to my left as I type this... it's worked 4 years now as my home traffic cop w/out a stutter. Only flaw... phantom power light stays on even after it's turned off until the power's disconnected. ...makes no sense, but isn't a problem either. Tom

As much of a joiner as I ain't? Sign me up. UB BX1200, BB210 cab, racktuner. Got 'em, like 'em. Would buy again (unless that Ampeg/Fender/Hi-Watt/Boutique endorsement deal is in the mail later).

Supposingly you can fix it by isolating the input and footswitch jack from chassis ground but my BX4500H is a $200 doorstop right now since that didn't work. Troubleshooting it is possible but a real pain in the ass as it's mostly SMT and inaccessible circuit boards. Shoulda gotten a Carvin instead.

i picked up a new BX4500 as a backup & had the same problems,, but,, was a very simple mod to fix with very little effort, & totally eliminating all hum.
all in all, that head was, ( as it's gone now ) the punchiest head i've ever owned

I got a BDDI21 a sansamp BDDI copy- works OK & good as a back up D/I also! So while I wouldn't buy an amp or similar some of their gear seems to work well enough.

I have that box too, it does seem to work well. Our monitor router broke down over the holidaze, so we picked up the MINI-MON and it's doing the job. I also have one of their tuners, as well as the Truth active monitors.

That being said, we hope to replace all of the B gear this year.

Yeah, I'll jump in. EP1500 power amp and a Bass V-Amp Pro right here.

I also know someone who uses a EuroDesk MX9000 in their studio, and gets fantastic results with it.

Listen, I can't afford to spend my hard earned cash on BA$$ gear due t other obligations (a wedding and a new apartment)!

So my current rig is now a GK 15" BLX cab with the Behringer 450 watt head! It makes the sound of a bass guitar when the power is on. It will suffice. My tone is in my fingers. I leave the EQ flat on the head and flat on the bass with just the treble knob on full.

I blend in with the keyboard, choir, and drums with no complaints. Job well done. Not bad for $199. Put me down for the Behringer club! It gets the job done!

Still, in general, I prefer used, US made, to new Behringer. There's so much good US made gear going cheap: Rane, QSC, Community, Peavey...

The Behringer DEQ2496 Ultra Curve Pro gets far more respect from live sounds pros, than the higher priced alternative.
