Club Bordwell Part 4

Craig, try resist plugging it in and just play it acoustically for a while.
You'll be amazed how this Ash resonates.

This batch of Ash I received is wonderful, luckily I ordered about 5 years worth.
I did play it for quite a while before plugging in . Man it sounds so good I was blown away how the notes just popped off this bass unplugged. This bass is absolutely a dream , sound , weight , feel I am so impressed . I have , and have had so many basses and this one is definitely at the top of the list . I have already played it thru my Jaguar 200 all tube bass head and 410 cab with the band , me and the crew totally dig the sound. Also I have gone direct thru a Avalon bass pre straight into the board and out to video . I will get some posted soon it comes out sounding so nice. I am so glad I stuck with my gut on the wood choices and stumbled on that Mesquite top . The combo of the ash , maple and those Nordstrand SE's just blow my mind , so simple . Thanks so much for being such a great guy thru the process and now that I know you have more of that ash a 5 could be in my future .

That Mesquite is definitely awesome looking! It goes really well with your other wood choices.

Nice that you are getting back to the bass and the CB , Cliff is so great to deal with and the basses are so fun ! I am absolutely loving mine . It is 5 am here and I am playing my new C B right now !

My new CB S bass is working very nicely . I am real happy with it . Ash body , maple neck and board , mesquite top , Nordstrand SE's , passive . I have a couple rehearsal videos , were just working out these tunes but getting closer . We have allot of set tunes and also do quite a bit of improv . Real fun music to play and the CB sits right in . The notes just pop off this bass and it is so easy to play , less than 7 lbs and so comfortable .

Here is one more . This one I am using some chorus and near the end on a solo a bit of bass synth , this tune is half workrd out and half improv , the improv part changes every time but this one the other day came out pretty nice. Were just 40 hour work guys that love to jam .
