Thanks.. This bass has so many tones to choose from till it is ridiculous. The B string is not floppy at all on the 32" scale. The wenge body did add a lot of weight but nothing I can't deal with. I have TI flats on it right now and they are different form what I'm use to but they sound good and not to bad for slapping.. I heard they sound better after you break them in. I just can't wait to plug into my tecamp rig at church this evening.. Give me a couple of days and I will post some sound clips and pictures. Also do I receive a club # now?

I can imagine the weight isn't so much of an issue if the instrument is well-balanced, but what made you decide to go with the wenge body core, as opposed to more typical woods?
The pickups and electronics are Nordstrand, right? What are the switches?
And finally, did you have a particular tone in mind with the TI flats, or just trying something different?

I like the strong midrange and warm bottom wenge produces. Also I was going with a warmer tone.
Yes, the pickups are Nordstrand. The switches are parallel / Single / Series and mid selector.
I have heard a lot of different opinions about flats and wanted to try them for myself. Plus I heard you get a warmer tone with flats; my ears are settling for that tone then a bright hi fi modern tone.

I played through my Tecamp S212 and puma 900 last night for a minute or two. This bass has bottom for days. It is very smooth and warm, so many tone options to choose from. It would take months or probably years to go through all the pickup configuration and play with the EQ in depth. So far I'm liking the flats just have to see how they sound with the band Sunday.
