Anyone know what the current build/wait time is?
Hey, folks, a quick question for y'all, regarding hard cases. I'm having Cliff build me a 6 string (a cool hybrid of the Bic McNeely AND the modified Ball Bass), and even though I have the option for the really good gig bag that Cliff offers, I'm still very leery of carrying around a 3000 dollar bass in a gig bag. Has anyone had any luck finding a hard case that works for these basses?
Which gig bag do you have, Mike, and why?I've been carrying my basses (even the $3000 ones) in gig bags for a long time. If you want to find a case, you'll need to get the actual dimensions and see what's out there that fits, since I'm sure not all of Cliff's models are the same size. It's doubtful that anything will be a *perfect* fit unless you have something custom made, though, which is why most of us use gig bags. There are a few companies out there that make custom cases if that's what you really want, though.
I'm having Cliff send me the Mono. Are you very happy with it?At the moment I have a Mono that the CB goes in, and a heavy-duty Levy's that I got many years ago with another bass and just kept (not sure about the models for either one). Before I got the Mono, I used the Levy's with whatever bass I was gigging with, whether it originally came with a hard case or not.
