Especially on his 6 string models! I have never played another 32" scale bass with a B string like the one Cliff puts out.

The B on my 31.5" ACG 6ers are amazing too, but this is a Cliff Bordwell thread
I have to admit though, seeing Cliff making the short(er) scale 6ers gave me the confidence to try it out on my custom basses.
One day I'll have a CB bass too.

Even thought I might have sold you one of my older ones... but then again my memory left me a few years ago

Actually, no I don't.
Cliff's work is hard to come by here in the UK, and I already have found "my luthier" in Alan at ACG.
I have played a couple of CBs though, and having read how amazing his 32" 6ers have been I had every confidence it could be done.
One day though, I'll own one though

I've been watching this thread since receiving this bass last month. Chambered D bass.
It's been out to play 4-5 times so far, definitely catches people's attention.
I'm the 3rd or 4th owner since it was built in 2011, but this is a lifetime keeper for me. I am super impressed with the workmanship that go into his basses and happy to have it.
It's noticeable acoustically, but a very slight difference through the amp. There's a similar D bass with same electronics near me, only met that bass player twice and not sure when we'd be able to A/B compare them. His is not chambered, so I'd be curious how resonant his is vs. mine and overall effect
I have no idea how big the chambering is, but it does give a warmer midrange...maybe it's the Aguilar preamp, maybe it's the Rotosound flatwounds on it, very nice warm clean tone. That's my take on it, anyway.
