Trust me, you will like the result
Yeah, I tend to do that on 6+ string fretli with good results. I've thought about small lines, but I like how the dots can expand or contract and it won't affect the string since it makes no contact.
my bass comes today. I will put up pics and give my initial report/praise about 2 hours after I get it. anyone get theirs yet? I'm soooooo psyched.

Slightly. The lower horn on the Performance Series was pointing forwards, not downwards. Also the upper horn is slightly different.
Biggest difference is, that the Performance Series had bolt-on necks, not set necks.
That sounds like it is a good reason to call in sick and stay home today!

A Hawaiian Bordwell.
The more I look at that 4 string single cut the more I like it. The wood (Pau Ferro) looks great on that.
Normally, I'm not a fan of a single cut on a 4, but that one seems 100% appropriate for some reason.
