Wow, I wonder when Cliff went past a year? It seems he's been right around 9 months for the last two years or so. Well that can only mean business is good!

Awesome tops on the new batch..... and they are all ball basses. It will be cool to see how 4 ball basses compare.
I am in the middle of spec'ing out my fretless with cliff right now. I have been tossing around a bunch of ideas and cliff has humored me on all of them.
talk about customer service. We finally narrowed it down.
It is going to be pretty much them same thing as my upcoming fretted bass but with some different woods and a different take on the audere preamp.
I will attach the last rendering Beav did of it for me. It will be figured purpleheart and ebony on the top and all purpleheart on the back.
Glad I am going to get the order in soon... I was hoping to get it in my hands before summer of 09.

I ordered my sixer a little over a year ago and it only took 4-5 months to build. I'm glad Cliff is doing O.K.!!!

I was planning on it. I woulda figured he has done one by now. It will either be a 33" scale fretless 7 or a 36"-33"/37"-34" fretted 7.

I loved cliff's work so much on the 4 stringer I got (see page 5 i think? maybe 6?) I decided to go for something a bit more exotic.

Yeah that fretless is gorgeous.

I'm amazed that these basses even go on the market. This particular one was for sale from a double bassist who didn't quite make the jump to electric. It's make of a curly Makore body and a burled thuya top. The neck is maple with Maple with Panga and the fretboard and pickup covers are Bloodwood. I'll bet she smokes
