Club Clement: Part 2 (post your basses here)

I would hope that we could meet up at Tom's place in Florida for a real Clement Bass Day one day!!! :)

The Lise is a similar design as the Anne.... in fact, I think the Anne is the Lise's daughter. *hehe* It has the same ideas about balance as the Anne, that's why it's slightly offset. Mine is chambered, and I believe it's the first really chambered bass Tom ever made (correct me if I'm wrong, Tom!). The body wood is mahogany, and it has a Koa top and a black limba backside. Both have black accent stripes. It's a light weight bass with a great and bassy sound.

The neck is shedua (ovangkol) and the fingerboard is stabilized ash. It's a great little bass, the pickups are Nordstrand Dual Coils, it's got a massive Aguilar OBP-3 preamp and a Bartolini buffer for the piezo bridge. Hipshot hardware.

I think there's only made 2-3 Lises in total, so if you go with a Lise, you're getting something more unique *lol*

It balances very well when played sitting down, as well as on a strap. If you take a quick trip over here, you can try it out and we can jam ;)

Consideration #426.33 a
How much neck dive is experienced with chambered basses?
For both seated and strapped operation:
* My moderately chambered Lise: No neck-dive.
* My heavily chambered Anne and Phoneix: No neck-dive.

Conclusion:
* Proper design = no neck dive.

:D

If you go with a Jon shape, I cannot tell, but Richnota can. Do you play your basses sitting down or on a strap?

If you do a majority of playing sitting without a strap, I cannot recommend the Anne or the Lise enough (and the Phoenix, too, really). They are just awesome. :)

Ooooh.....
Aaaaahhhh....
Whooooo.......

I'm finding it hard to put my emotions into words without resorting to profanity, but *&$$% me, she's a KILLER!!!

Watch out G£^&rists, #177 is comin' to getcha!!!

Man that was quick!
Tom doesn't hang about does he...

Yet another gorgeous bass.
At first I wasn't a fan of this shape, but it looks fantastic with that pickup position and the black controls. It just hangs together perfectly.
One very very sexy bass!

Congrats mate, you must be stoked :)
