Hi all,
Glad to see others enjoying their new Clements!
I've had mine (#197) a few weeks now, and have really been enjoying playing it, although haven't had time to do as much as I wanted to.
The neck is wonderfully comfortable, and the bloodwood fingerboard sounds so good, even when playing unplugged to save annoying the missus. It's also good-looking enough to get admiring comments from people who don't normally give a second glance to the bass
Next challenge is to
a) work out a solution to record some sound clips
b) work out something to play that disguises my lack of technical chops!
On a somwhat related point, do any folks on the list use a headphone amp at all for late night practices? I like playing unplugged, but need to get to know the electronics more (and particularly get used to the differences between Nordy mag pickups and the piezo). My amp (EA iAmp) has a nice headphone section, but also has a fan running the whole time. Any experience with Earwig, Vox amplug and other such reasonbly priced offerings?

I don't use a dedicated headphone amp, but I do have a set of Sennheiser Wireless 'phones and a Line6 G30 wireless system. Plus them into the in / 'phones holes in my practice amp - and I'm away (literally).
Keeps the noise in my ears and away from the missus!! Quality, volume and tone is fine for a quick practice session.

Hartke attack pedal preamp and Zoom B2 effects pedal both have headphone plug in for practice.
I am blessed to have a wife that likes to hear me practice most times even at 10 pm.

Been wrapped up with being caregiver to elderly parents (who despite some earlier setbacks are doing quite well). Only mentioning this as its relevant to my Clement post. My three Clement basses are up weekend home/studio. I hadn't been able to get there for almost four months due to my responsibilities.
Well, finally did and got to play the trio. Stacked up the Accugroove T110s and turned it up to "frighten the wildlife" These are truly fantastic playing and sounding basses. My "hollow Jon" is particularly musical. Full, round, great attack, ridiculous sustain.
So my ask?
WHAT ARE THE MOST NOTABLE, COOLEST, BEAUTIFUL, SIGNIFICANT CLEMENT BASSES OF THE LAST FOUR MONTHS?

Well, from my personal perspective, this would be one of them:

Sounds upright - ish enough for the bluegrass and jazz crowds. Deep and growly for the church crowd. Soft and mellow for the more traditional bass crowd. And even though it is a 35" scale; the Anne configuration makes it fell more like a short scale, to me.

Final design - Ash body, Redwood guard and 32 scale fretted Maple board/Cedar neck. It really gave Photoshop a workout.

That reminds me of a Conklin. Crazy, man. Put 2 light colored knobs on the "guard" and 1 dark following. Just a suggestion.

Good idea, I'll run it by Tom and see if he will do a Redwood / Ash combo.
After contacting several organizations regarding bass donations, The Entwistle Foundation and the Jazz Foundation were the only two who showed interest in receiving donations. At least I'll know the old gear will go to those who need and benefit from their use.
Oh, and richnota, I can't resist this little guy
Incredible basses! As fantastic as they're distinctive. Tom has been very busy (and creative) these past few months.

Ok, so I slip a bit outside of the 4 month bracket - but can never resist the chance to post these...
Get to unleash them on the public tonight - 1st public airing of #177 & #164 (aka Wilma and Betty! - Yabbadabbadoo!)
Will try and get the sound-man to take some snaps, and providing I don't look too much like a fatter version of Shamu - I'll post them up.

Gig went well - Both the Clems were wonderful.
We had possibly the sh!!t!35t gear ever for a PA, but we managed to carve a decent sound out of it using some bits the drummer (of all people) had lying around.
From my point of view (using my Line 6 G30 wireless system to get out front) a great balance for the whole band and for the Bass... a Clarity - LIVE - that I've not had before.

I use a Cafe Walter headphone amp. Got mine through Bass Northwest. Best $175 I ever spent. Great gift for the wife and neighbors!

Nope - I gave the camera to the guy doing the sound, but I don't think he managed to switch it on. There was someone else taking snaps, so I'll see if I can get some.
