The more I play my Clement the more I'm thinking that it's gonna stick around for a long time to come. If I ever get another fretless it'll have six strings and it'll be a Clement :)

I just got back from my first gig with #202-which I bought on ebay on a whim because I had been looking for a 4 string jazz style bass with mahogany body and ebony fretboard - and one day it just popped up from this Clement dude. Anyway, the more I play it, and tweak the sound and fit the more I am falling in love. I definitely have the inverse of the honeymoon period. I am skeptical and do a lot of tweaking at first, then either grow towards or away from a bass. I know this one is going to be around for a long time - and I am hopeful that I will have the same experience with #215 to cover my 5 string needs.

Btw-#202 performed really well at the gig. My wife said she could tell I was really comfortable with it and it sat nicely in the mix. I will post gig pics when I get them.

Back after 2 weeks in China, and pleased to see all the great new work, ideas and members. Looking forward to seeing and hearing the finished products.
Had a bit of withdraw not being able to play a bass for that time, but I did manage to play (very poorly) the Guqin - A very cool 7 string zither with a soulful tone. A new avenue to explore. Found a few inexpensive ones on Ebay that are probably good enough to get started with.
