Did it taste like Chicken?

They pretty much tasted like the oil they were fried in. Sort of a salty, oily potato chip.

Not a bad cut of meat. A bit tough/chewy compared to beef. The dish was served with scallions garlic and peppercorns so the true taste was somewhat masked. At least that curiosity has been satisfied.

Noticed you have cleaned up the photo Darlene - personally I think the singles look better without all the hardware. Nice job on the shape.

I've placed a bid for a Guqin on Ebay. Hopefully I'll be able to snag one without having to pay to much for basically a beginners toy. New sounds, new avenues to try.

EDIT: Forgot that one of the more popular norwegian bands at the moment are "Donkey Boys".... so I guess we'd end up in a trademark discussion easily *lol*

BTW, anyone ever heard a donkey sing? somehow I have hard time seeing how such a connection would really sell well as a band name. Seems they flopped when they tried to go international.

Thanks, Nofretz. Yes, simple is what I will be after when we get to build this model. Still really cementing down what is to be the final package. Thought about piezo (but that really scares me.) Will most likely be a one pickup placement about the middle; emg45DC, Bartolini xxM56C, wrestling between these 2 choices. And might have a volume knob/pot OR go directly to jack with the Bart w/o any pots. Am shooting for a deep tone. Will do any and all EQ at the amplifier. Should I do straight up spanish cedar OR birdseye maple top. the right BMT would persuade me. It would have to be really figured with lots of "eyes". Then again a really " nice" grained cedar would turn me on, too.

His wife claims her chickens sing to her. Personally I have heard mice sing from under the floor boards in the wee hours of morning before the sunrise. Rather lovely I think but none of them in a bass like fashion.

Good luck, Nofretz. Wow, a 7 string slide bass!!! Far out, groovy, man. Practice, practice, practice. Will need a sound clip of that for sure. Can hardly wait. No matter how basic it may be.

No slide, all fingers and nails. Not sure about the action yet, currently in the packaging and shipping mode from Beijing.

I have no Idea what a scallion is, but being a vegetarian, the Fava Beans sound good to me!
