#215 is assembled. It came in at 8lbs which was my target weight. Awesome. I can't wait to see it finished.

What finish was used on this bass?
I'm looking for something like this to finish mine:confused:
Clement #213

Here it is Tom's working on finishing soon but will likely be delayed by much birthday celebration.
Ash Body
Maple neck
Bloodwood Fingerboard
Single passive Bart MM p/u

Was looking for something straightforward contrasting my Roscoe with lots o' mwah. This is the second bass Toms done for me and he was somehow even better to work with a second time. :bassist:

7.7 lbs. And sure looks sunny down there in Florida.

too bad, im looking for something that wont give the usual "yellow" glow.
White should stay white so to speak.
That would also men a lot of uv protection for the long run..:(

My brother in law struggled with this recently on his hardwood floors. Pretty much the only thing he could come up with was staining the floors a light transparent white and then finishing them.

Hey Tom, I'm seriously thinking of turbo charging my bass (a second Nordstrand DC humping the bridge and active EQ) but I was wondering, do you wire your basses in series or parallel by default?

FWIW, the Nordstrand DC sounds nice in series, parallel, and split. For some reason or another, it almost seems like Nordstrand DCs pair perfectly with an Audere pre-amp IMHO.

I'm familiar with the procedure; whitewash its called over here.
Might be an option white wise, but it wont be very natural:(

I just happen to like the way series sounds for dual-coil pickups but I do like the idea of having a switch. As far as preamps I'm probably gonna stick with Bartolini. They're the cheapest and sound fantastic :).
