Just a sharing. Changed up electronics.

#196 is now volume/volume/tone 250k pots and a .1 cap and really reaches down when the treble is rolled off but still clear noted and put into tone pot "0" has that piano growl to the max, add in some amplifier bass and "My goodness. Bring up all both pickups and roll off the treble some makes some really luscious fretless smooth notes fly off the board. :cool: I took the Aggie OBP-1 and put it in #122 and that bass really roars along with a set of Rotosounds steel on.
Play on.

Much niceties going on here!!! That double neck looks killer!!! I think I need to consider having Tom build me one of those for my next build, which is already decided to be a 6-string headless fretted... would be nice to add a 5-string E-C fretless on the bottom :D

O Yeah !!

This design reminds of the bass Kai Eckhardt used when he was playing in the early 90's with Trilok Gurtu and John Mclaughlin .

Very very happy mate with Tom's work, and very very happy with #209.

The only issue I have, is with all my s##t gear that I plugged her into.

So I went out today and treated #209 to a new gig bag ( would not fit in the one I had ) and a brand new lead. ( my lead was buzzing like crazy ):eyebrow:

I also need a new amp :(. This hobby is going to get expensive, but if you have a top class instrument, then it needs to be played through top class gear. :hiding:

She will be played through some nice gear on Thursday, in the hands of somebody that will do it justice. :bassist:

Oh the neck is soooo sweet, very smooth, and I am hitting notes a lot more cleaner, and easier, than I do with the Ya###a.

Amp wise, I have no idea, but for now, anything with a great tone through headphones is where I will start looking.

I don't need to move a lot of air, or rattle the walls, because at the moment, it is just #209 and me. ;) but I don't want to buy cheap and buy twice ;)

I'd have a look at the Ibanez Promethean 5110 Combo if I was you.
It's a 500W micro amp head in a 1 X 10" speaker box, but the amp head is removable.
It's got a headphone out and an aux in for jamming along with an mp3 player too...

It's great for practicing and is future proof if you need to go bigger and louder later on :)

I've got one of these

Its good for a small amp, but I've had it for a while and dont know what progress has been made in baby amps. There's probably something better. But I do like mine. You have a store anywhere near you where you can try stuff out?
