Club Clement (Part 7: Post your basses here)

Almost there - being field tested tonight by Tom! :bassist::D

I cry foul! You must post details ;).
Bookmatched figured myrtle top, single piece swamp ash body, subtle Ipe fingerboard, plain hard maple neck, black veneer between top and body, oiled, 4 string, string through body, black hardware, fretless, no lines/no dots, passive with single volume and tone controls, and the new P style split pickup from Carvin I will send him. The top you would have to see to really grasp - it's really different. I'm planning on playing rounds, not flats. Tom tells me that Ipe is harder than ebony. Hooray!

Sweet, single pickup? I've been getting into Carvin's stuff lately myself. Just got a new amp from them, the BX1600. My Clements sound awesome through it! Their stuff is a great bang for the buck.
Good to see that Ipe being used, that's a beautiful piece of wood.

Yes, sir - single pickup. I really want a single P style pickup with rounds on bare wood. The piece of Ipe we have chosen is a darker piece with a much more subtle grain - I was concerned about something with a stronger striped color variation sitting over the amazingly figured top we're using. :smug:

I'm back in the Clement game with this bass that I pulled down from the classifieds a short time ago. I had a Clement built for me a couple years ago and ended up selling it after a year or so. I've owned probably 8-10 other fretless basses in that time and have come back around to another of Tom's basses. I'm enjoying this one. Here is a cell phone pic for now.
