yeah i know, but the only guy around is the one that screwed it up. he does great work ussually,and he thought he was doing me a favor. he has a hard-on for slotting nuts.he really does great setups, i dont want to offend him. i wish i had told him not to mess with it.but i didnt ask him to either. i just asked him to put the dr high beams on it when i had him put the new set of chi's in it(original pickup was damaged during shipping)he does an awesome job intonating. but he did alot more than a string change, he adjusted the truss rod, drilled out the neck screws, intonated it and slotted the nut. and he only charged me $25 for the pickup swap , and didnt charge me for any of the other work.New nuts are cheap if you can get someone local to do it.
Oy, what a pain, Matty! That's a bummer. FWIW, I had mine strung with Lakland nickels and have been really happy with the sound.
