Nice! I recall a guy posting in one of the Lakland threads who had a DS'd Decade in sonic blue w/mahogany body. I'd love to try that out!

tried one the other day, played well enough but didnt care for those pickups at all, maybe they would sound better with flatwounds, but I just couldnt find a tone that I would be satisfied with so I probably wont be joining the club.

Sorry to hear that...what rig were you playing through? I find the tone incredible and complex.

Well, I don't know about the Chi's, but the Darkstars really kick. (I'm gonna have to go down to the store in Alexandria VA and try out a Decade with the Chi's).

Mine is a US model so it came with Dunlops. I have had problems with other basses though. This is what I did. I use the same skrew that was in the bass. The problem is that the head was too big to fit down into the Dunlop strap button, so I took the skrew and mounted it in a drill like a drill bit, and then turned the drill on, and rested the head against a metal file, until it took away enough of the head to allow it to fit down in the straplock button. Make sense?

Thanks Markus, it makes sense, net it's about reducing a bit the diameter of the head , but being careful so that the screw still functions correctly (screw / unscrew)....

This ships out to me today, I'm looking forward to it's safe arrival soon!

Already debating pickguards, leaning towards black of some sort. :hmm:
