Just in case that black background influences your answer, here is one with a white background.

Hey Tom: just a thought (or couple of) I guess your main 'statement' with this design is the f clef, you may want to consider white (matching with the top wood) knobs and (if it is not within your must have requirements forget it) a clearer bridge and fretboard. This way the contrast between clef and background is more dramatic and will definitively appear through the strings and pickup covers.
Another (separated) idea would be to have the two dots of the clef over the fretboard, either with a white wood over the ebony or dark over a clearer fretboard, just an alternative.
Just a few thoughts as you build your idea further. I love the idea whatever combination you use.
Gustavo, thank you for your suggestions. I have been having thoughts like that as well and have even mocked them in pictures. I will post some of those photos here when I get to my other computer.
Because it looks like I will be using maple instead of Holly for a top, the extra figuring of the maple makes the top not a pure white. I wonder if black hardware and black knobs with an ebony finger board would provide a contrast that would make the body wood seem more white.
For example, gold hardware seems to bring out a yellowish hue in the tan wood. I don't want the bass to look like it has jaundice.
Well... got my AC6 on Friday...cant put it down...it is simply amazing!!!...I am speechless!!!

My finish will be Blue NPF (No Pore Fill).
Per Marcel: "The neck needs final adjustment before fine sanding, then it's off to our spray booth."
He also corrected me, that the finish is Satin Blue NPF, whereas I'd been referring to it as Trans Blue NPF.
