Tom7, the picture that's attached to Romu's name is a BN5 and it says he has a AC5 on the roster.

Whoa! That's what happens when you multitask too early in the morning I guess. Nice catch, thanks. Sorry, Romu. It's been corrected now. Thanks again.Tom7, the picture that's attached to Romu's name is a BN5 and it says he has a AC5 on the roster.
I'm diggin' the gold. That 'sonic blue' or whatever color that is (bottom) is screaming for chrome knobs and a white pickguard IMO.
Yeah, except it needs a maple board and at least pearl blocks if not also white binding... then maybe a parchment guard.I'm diggin' the gold...

Yeah, a black guard on shore gold also looks really nice! How about maple with a black guard? That's one that was swimming around in my head for a bit.
This one speaks to me... whispers sweet nothing in my ear actually.Robochrist, here's your mockups.

I just had to post this very nice picture of the back of my somewhat unusual VF5 from the FBass website. It is really cool.... kind of a hybrid neck joint... same access to the lower strings, but with a bit more wood and a bit more classic feel and look at the top of the joint, and that really beautiful skunk stripe in the 'one piece' neck.
I'm really enjoying this instrument a lot. I'm not sure if the slight difference in design really impacts the tone, but I dig the whole thing, and even if it is just for 'looks', I dig it!

I think Protec has something like that and the come with the little half moon cushions.
ill be curious to see if this one sticks around after so many years of you gigging sads and coppolos.
haha! its funny, after all that time i spent bugging guys about a 70's style j 5, im enjoying my 60's style vf5 alot. whouda thunk it.I already installed my beloved Duncan dual action straplocks. That guarantees at least 6 months. After that, we shall see!
Hey, this is the first bass I've played after owning the A-C's that didn't immediately go out the door. That says a lot!
Nice bass... digging it more each day... aggressive and 'solid' feeling, and I've always dug George's pre... the only three band I've ever owned that I like (that mid control is beautiful)!
