I noticed the same thing. I also think it has to do with the strap lock
location being up farther. It makes the bass sit more angled and back. I
wouldn't want my Fbass to feel just like a standard or traditional jazz
though. The feel isn't bad or good for me just different and I like variety
in my basses.
I had Goerge install the lower strap button in the conventional (middle of the bass) position, in order to help keep the bass flatter against my body.
Thanks for the love guys! Ken, you're right - the night we recorded the clips was at a smaller venue so I used my LDS 112 cab and it was more than enough for me. And yeah - when you play some nice tunes with a drummer that good it makes it easy to hold it down on bass!
You and me both. Jason's a groove master.Jason, your band is simply amazing... I wish i can play the bass like you~!
Beautiful! Is it yours? Are you applying for a club number?F Bass AC 5

Yes, I definitely wish I would have got a neck pickup on my AC6, and I toy with the idea sending it back for one when I can afford to, but at least my second AC6 has two magnetic pickups....Seems we have indeed a similar tasteTo me, the redwood burl is the best-looking top for a AC. And I wanted the additional neck pickup to get some additional tones that are more "deep" like an acoustic bass.
Are those flatwounds?F Bass AC 5

Interesting. I have TI Jazz Flats on my fretless AC6 right now and love 'em.The fretted one is especially beautiful. If I had to choose another fretted bass, this would be the one. Stunning, and the sound must be amazing. I had a BN5 black ceruse, but I sold it because it was too heavy to play live, my back ached after an hour of playing this 12lbs monster. Sound very nice, though. Edit: yes they are flats, Daddario Chromes. I had to combine the light 4-string set with a lower string... guess it was 40-110.
