True, but you get sesame seeds trapped under your finger nails.Hamburger pickups taste better.![]()
Marcel might be the only person who can answer this question.A quick question, so new F basses don't have humbucker? Just single coil with hum and push/pull pot for hum cancellation, right?
If that is true when did they start doing that didn't they have single coil /hamburger option on push/pull switch?

I think Fbasses have always been evolving -- which is why they are great and getting better. It is one reason I strongly prefer handmade basses to factory batches of basses.
Fbasses aren't cookie cutter cutouts of a static design.
Anyway, my 2004 BN5 has a knob where you push down for hum cancelling. My 2008 BN6 has a knob where you pull up for hum cancelling.
I don't know if they used switches before; it's been push/pull knobs as long as I have known them.
This sounds familiar ;-) Should be awesome! You'll love the 51mm nut although I have 18mm bridge spacing.

Hey all, I just received my first Fbass, an ash/maple brownburst 70's VF5 in a trade with Exemonium, previously from tallbass. Haven't had much time to play, but so far I love it! Although I have to say, I hated the strings (I assume they are Fbass strings, exposed core, black silk). Medium heavy strings, very bright, but felt floppy and rattled a lot, with a very weak sounding B string. I put 45-130 Fat Beams on there and it's sounding great. Plays really nicely too, feels very solid with excellent balance. This fits me much better than the nyc Sadowsky I used to have.
I think somebody had mentioned that I can order a plexi ramp from Fbass, is that true? I didn't see it on the website. Can anyone direct me to where I can see ramp options and prices?
