Club Fbass (thread 13)

I always wanted a bass with leds, but this is the closest I've come. Twice in the past year I really could have used them. Once in a particularly dark club and another in the pit where the only light was on my music stand. I don't think I'll regret getting them in the least.

You will not regret getting them, they are pretty cool. In the situations you've been in, they'd definitely come in handy. The Luminlay's might come in different sizes? That might explain why the ones on the Kiesel's are ok, and the ones on the F Basses actually look useful, LOL!

Did you go with them in your bnf build on order? I thought about it, but passed for now.

Waiting for my delivery expected today. I’m sitting near my front window, with curtains open, watching for the truck & a delivery person carrying the box.

Monday I received a Fodera Emperor Standard 6. The UPS driver set the box on my step, rang the doorbell and walked away. He already reached the sidewalk when I opened the door.

This is alarming because these past few years in the Vancouver area, people have been stealing packages after the drivers leave.

I have a similar story.

We have a Purolator sticker on our mailbox that I'd long forgotten about, allowing them to leave packages without signing... When I saw 'delivered' tracking status and realized my wife wasn't home... I left work pretty dang quick to go get it!

Fortunately it was still there :)

When I checked the tracking number afterward, the driver simply wrote “Met Customer Man” which he did not. He waved at me from the sidewalk.

It’s not just UPS. They’re all doing the same: Postal carriers, FedEx, etc.

I think a call to UPS is in order. If that bass was stolen, they would be on the hook. Not the sort of thing you want to explain to your supervisor. I will chime back with what they say about this.

Here we go. My VF6-PJ Fretless arrived safe & well. This time I had to sign for it, so that is good anyway.

@Tom7 My FBass Club # is 246. You may add this beauty to the roster.

Those are beautiful... I especially like the blue and tort combo. Grats!
Thank you!

Congrats! So does she feel and sound like you expected?
She even exceeded my expectations. I’m already accustomed to my BN6. This VF6 Fretless has insane sustain and “mwah”!

This, and I'd love to hear some sound clips if you are so inclined ..
I’m not really a poster of clips. To be perfectly honest, I had not played music more than 20 years. The last time I performed for a recording, it was in a studio onto a reel-to-reel format.

I haven’t figured out how to record stuff at home yet. I have all the components like a MacBook, Garage Band, and an interface device of which I’m forgetting the name at the moment. I want to learn but I haven’t gotten the hang of it.
