@BassJuju A Like button is not sufficient. That’s a phenomenal specimen!

Thanks... I really appreciate it when another F Bass owner responds as we know just how special these instruments are. This BNF6 is tremendous and I love my BN6 as well. They are different beasts though.

One of he things that often gets overlooked is the ergonomics of these basses. They just seem like they are built to be played. The way they fit against us or the way they just balance perfectly on the strap. Until one plays one, it can’t be appreciated.

Hey everyone, I recently acquired a sweet '97 AC5 & slapped on a new F Bass string set - is it normal for the open core section of the string to go over the saddle like that on the D string? I've some photos of other ebony bridge basses with the wrapped core on the G instead. Looking forward to your replies..

Guys, I want to call your attention to this listing in the classifieds and give you this heads up...

A talkbass GOLD supporting member named Eugene_bass posted a classified listing selling an FBass BN5. The listing looks legit in every way, including 10 photos. The only thing that would raise my eyebrows is the price $3,900.

However, the listing is apparently a fraud.

If you are wanting to tempt someone, an FBass BN5 is an excellent way to do it, but for us Club Fbassers, I thought I should give everyone a heads up that these things are happening so you can stay safe with your next potential purchase.

I absolutely love that bag. It's made overseas (in China, I believe), but it is definitely high quality and it looks/feels/works great.

It would appear the world of bass is a divine state with Toms (plural) at the helm, and playing the FBass.

This makes me curious whether Tom Kennedy, Tom Petersson, and/or Tom Araya have an FBass somewhere at home. Yes, I realize they all have endorsements elsewhere, but perhaps they have at least one FBass in their personal collection. Hehe Now I'm envisioning an FBass version of Tom Petersson's signature 12-string (4-string, triple-coursed).

Incredible bass, Tom! And thanks to your input via a couple of PMs last week - and George F's helpful (and prompt) email replies - I put a deposit down on the 40th Anniversary near me! Add in some Dunlop strap locks and a Hipshot D-tuner, and I'll have it in plenty of time for its maiden voyage at church a week from today!

The BN5 was awesome, as well, but I couldn't risk missing out on the 40th waiting another month or so for the BN4 to arrive to try out. I can cross that bridge in July!
