I am the recent owner of a gently used F Bass (no number needed). All I can say is that this bass really captures that vintage tone... pleasantly surprised and more than happy!
I normally do my weekend gig playing my Fodera '83 Monarch PJ. This weekend I will be taking my F Bass BN5... I'll report back Sunday evening.

I almost drove down to the shop when I saw that one.
I am going to Bass San Diego early August. If its there, I'll play it for sure. That's a BEAUTY!
As a guy who hasn’t played an F Bass, what should I expect out of a BN5?
For reference, I’ve had or have the following basses:
1. Dingwall Dbird and ABZ5
2. Spector - Euro 5LX, also a Forte SS
3. Nash PB63 and JB63
4. EBMM H
5. Warwick Thumb
6. Ric 4003
I’ve listened to a few demo videos but haven’t found one that really impressed me in terms of the review/demo sound quality. I think this is more the demos quality than the bass.

My main players include FBass BN6 and VF6-PJ Fretless, Fodera Emperor Standard 6, EBMM Bongo HS 6, Greg Curbow Petite 6, and Warwick Thumb BO 6. While I was playing with a few guys, I enjoyed alternating basses I’d bring to band practice. The guys always told me they prefer the BN6 of all my basses.
From your comparative list, my Thumb BO 6 is the only one I own. In terms of tone, the Thumb is more “woody” with the classic Warwick growl. The placement of the Thumb pickups also contribute to its unique tone.
I can’t speak for Spector quite yet but I’m waiting for a build. One thing I can tell you is that Spector models you refered to are neck thru while the BN6 is bolt-on.
If you live close, I would drive down to the shop.
San Diego is a couple hours away. I’ll be aimed that way for a performance in about a month, so I’ll plan on that.
I've managed to own some of the basses on your list. I've owned:
1. Dingwall D-Bird and ABZ5(Currently own the DB, an NG-3, and an F Bass BNF5. I have ABZ 4,5, & 6 strings on order)
2. Several Spectors(two Forte 5s, an NS-2, and a Euro 4LX)
3. Never owned a Nash, but I did, unfortunately, own a Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe
4. I've owned multiple EBMM's(Sterlings & StingRays, 4 & 5, including a couple of the new Specials)
5. I've owned several Warwicks(Streamers & Thumbs, BO & Neck-thru, including a couple "Golden-era" NT Thumbs)
6. Never owned a Ric
I'm not gonna blow sunshine up yer butt and tell you that the F Bass is better in every way, because a lot of that will depend on what you're looking for, but I will tell you that, beyond the baked-in tones that some of those basses have, the BN will do whatever you need it to do and make whatever sound you need it to make. If I wasn't an incorrigible gear ho', I'd currently be rocking two BN5s and my BNF5. Unfortunately, I had to relinquish my BNs to pay for my BNF. I play in a pretty loud, sorta' hard rock cover band as my main gig(AIC, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, FFDP, etc), and those BN5s just killed! The preamp that George uses is one of the most transparent and musical pre's I've ever heard on a bass, and it makes it easy to set it up to use whatever dirt you like to add, through whatever rig you wanna crank. Every time I play my BNF, it just sounds right, and it makes me miss the BN5s I had even more. Giving those basses up was a necessary screw up on my part...
I would, definitely, put F Bass up against ANY other elite bass guitars...
Oh, the Music Force demos are LEGIT! They got some really great players over there. The videos are pretty short and low key, but the playing is good, and the tones are a pretty good, if not complete, representation of what F Basses can do.
